Beyond the noise. Return to you.
Modern life asks a lot of us.
Be productive.
Be available.
Keep up.
Push harder.
Do more.
The result?
Many people arrive on the yoga mat carrying far more than physical tension.
They carry deadlines.
Responsibilities.
Unspoken worries.
The weight of constantly holding everything together.
Traditional yoga was never simply about becoming more flexible.
It was about creating moments of stillness amidst the noise.
Moments where you stop performing.
Stop fixing.
Stop striving.
And simply notice what is here.
Your breath.
Your body.
Your thoughts.
Your experience.
Not to change it.
Not to improve it.
Just to meet it honestly.
Because sometimes the greatest relief isnât becoming somebody new.
Itâs remembering who you were before life became so loud.

A little girl from a small farm in a remote Polish village. đž
Watching my grandmother milk cows.
Collecting eggs from the hens.
Running around the farmyard until the sun disappeared behind the fields.
At the time, it all felt ordinary.
Now I realise how special it was.
I grew up surrounded by fields, animals, hard work, and a family that taught me some of lifeâs most important lessons without ever sitting me down to explain them.
The farm taught me patience.
The animals taught me responsibility.
My grandparents taught me that kindness and hard work can quietly exist side by side.
Life wasnât perfect. We worked hard. Holidays were rare. But it was a childhood full of connection, nature, family, and belonging.
Looking back, I can see that many of the things I value most today were planted in those fields long before I knew who I would become.
Perhaps my love for slowing down, noticing the small things, and helping people reconnect with themselves began there.
Among the chickens, the hay bales, and the early morning sound of cows waiting to be milked.
Some roots travel with us wherever we go.

What is one simple childhood memory that still makes you smile today?

This morning I found myself thinking about Steve Jobsâ famous speech on connecting the dots.
Looking back, I can see there were experiences in my life that felt painful, confusing, and completely disconnected at the time.
Moving countries.
Becoming a mother.
Changing careers.
Starting over more than once.
And, if Iâm honest, getting hit in the head with a brick by life.
Not once.
Not twice.
Many times.
At the time, those moments felt shocking and unfair.
Yet looking back, I can see that some of the experiences I would never have chosen for myself became the very things that shaped me.
They taught me resilience.
They taught me presence.
They taught me how to breathe when life felt overwhelming.
Today, those dots have become the work I do through Tension Release Yoga & Sound Medicine.
Not because I have all the answers.
But because I know how powerful it can be when someone is given the space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.
Perhaps thatâs the strange thing about life.
The bricks that seem to block our path often end up helping build it.
As another week begins:
What dots in your life are you only just beginning to connect?

This morning I shared a story about a little girl sitting with an encyclopaedia, dreaming about places she had never seen.
The funny thing is, when youâre living your life, very little makes sense at the time.
The difficult jobs.
The wrong turns.
The heartbreaks.
The unexpected opportunities.
You rarely understand why theyâre happening.
Itâs only years later that you begin joining the dots.
Looking back, I can see that some of the experiences I would never have chosen for myself became the very things that shaped me.
Perhaps wisdom isnât about having the perfect plan.
Perhaps itâs trusting that not every chapter needs to make sense while youâre living it.
As another week beginsâŚ
What chapter of your life are you still learning to understand?
⨠âYou can only join the dots looking backward.â

A little girl on a farm in Poland, dreaming about places sheâd never seen.
Looking back, it wasnât really about the places.
It was about curiosity.
And curiosity changed my life.
Whatâs one thing from your childhood that shaped who you are today? đż

Thank you to everyone who joined our beautiful Mindfulness Morning at Cuppa Cabin today.
It was a pleasure to connect, share space, and spend the morning together with intention and presence.
We explored body awareness, simple nervous system regulation techniques, and noticed how surprisingly unfamiliar it can feel to breathe deeply using the diaphragm, opening the door to the bodyâs restorative mode. We also experienced how a busy, full mind can begin to settle through gentle guided meditation and the soothing sounds of Himalayan singing bowls.
Listening to your stories and reflections was a real privilege. I am truly grateful to everyone who took time out of their day to pause, connect, and simply be present.
Our next Mindfulness Morning will take place on 10th July at 9:30am.
If youâre curious about holistic practices, wellbeing, or simply feel the need to slow down for a moment, Iâd love to welcome you. Come exactly as you are, grab a coffee, and join the conversation. Together weâll explore practices that support balance, resilience, and deeper connection, while creating space to reflect on whatever life is bringing your way right now.
Sometimes all we need is a little time to pause, breathe, and listen.
đż With gratitude,
Magda

The Villain?
Thinking youâre too stiff, too old, or too inflexible for yoga.
Many men spend years carrying tension in their hips, back, shoulders, and neck, believing yoga isnât for them.
The Reality?
The people who think they canât do yoga are often the people who benefit from it most.
My Approach
â No pressure to perform
â Practical adjustments and hands-on guidance
â Deep stretch thatâs achievable at any age
Dan joined one of my workshops and discovered that yoga isnât about being flexible.
Itâs about creating space where tension used to live.
âVery friendly environment⌠achievable even at my ripe old age of 50 something⌠got some great advice moving forward too. Well worth a visit.â âââââ
Sometimes the biggest barrier isnât a tight hamstring.
Itâs the story we tell ourselves before we even begin.

What if the tension youâre carrying isnât just in your muscles?
What if itâs in the stories you tell yourself.
The pressure to keep going.
The thoughts that never seem to switch off.
Traditional yoga teaches us that beneath the noise of the mind lies something quieter.
A deeper sense of awareness.
Through movement, breath, stillness, and attention, we begin to settle the waters.
Not to become someone else.
But to remember who we are beneath the stress, habits, distractions, and expectations.
The journey from tension to peace doesnât begin with achieving more.
It begins with pausing long enough to listen.
