Great night at the Falkirk Stadium as last night as teammates Ross, Struan and Frankie went head-to-head in a friendly!

Ross and Struan lined up for Falkirk 2017’s, while Frankie represented PRL 2017’s. The teams played three 30-minute games, with Frankie putting in a fantastic solid performance in defence, while Ross and Struan both bagged a double each across the three games. 👏⚽️

v Kilsyth

Early morning start down at Little Kerse this morning as we welcomed Kilsyth. We started the game with a fast tempo and the football at times was excellent to watch and really showed how we play as a team when everyone is switched on, focused and raring to go.

It’s been a fantastic start to this block, and today was another big step in the right direction. Another clean sheet as well, which is excellent and something the whole team can be proud of today!

POTM : Ollie was excellent today, making the right decisions throughout the game and getting himself a couple of goals too. A brilliant performance from the wee man. Well done, Ollie! 👏⚽️

V Garnkirk

In the first half the boys weren’t quite their usual selves. Garnkirk started the game well and seemed to be getting the better of us and we struggled to find our rhythm. However, yet again, we showed great character and determination to turn the game around, bring themselves back into it and eventually go on and compete well.

A few words at half-time, reminding them just how good a team they are and what they capable of, and in the second half we started to see glimpses of the football we know they can play.

It was a real game of two halves, and that’s what makes the result even more pleasing. Good teams can get beaten when they don’t play well, but great teams find a way to comeback even when they’re not at their best — and that’s exactly what they did today.

Plenty to improve on, but another important result and another step in the right direction.

Struan was selected last night to play for Motherwell against Pitreavie United on a freindly. Struan played really well, showing lots of energy and running throughout the game. He made some great passes, defended strongly, and had 2–3 passes that led directly to goals. A fantastic performance after 3 × 25-minute games! 👏🏼

Ross and Struan played for Falkirk 2016s yesterday afternoon against Aberdeen and Dundee United. Both boys played really well, showing great effort, confidence and determination throughout the games. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to gain valuable experience, test themselves against strong opposition and continue developing their skills.
