The Braes 2019s player of the week this week is Argyle!
Argyle shows determination, hard work and kindness every training session. He quietly gets on with his work, listens to his coaches and works well with every team mate around him. He’s been making great improvements in our Saturday games and always tries his best.
We’re so proud of you Argyle! Keep up the good work and keep that big smile on your face.

Both Braes 19s teams were brilliant this morning.
Coach Graeme and Coach Kara were on the move around Little Kerse with their team who worked incredibly hard all morning. Their final two games in particular showcased some incredible teamwork, accurate passing and plenty of goals.
There were some fantastic goals throughout the morning, with James, Jack, Oliver and Harry all getting on the scoresheet. Bonnie was outstanding with some incredible defending and smart, composed passing that helped the team build attacks from the back.
Coach Emily and Coach Kerry took our other team through some tricky fixtures this morning. The boys were incredible throughout though and were undefeated until our last game, in which they still demonstrated brilliant team work and competed strongly.
Harris, Lewis, Austin and Kaii scored some brilliant goals. The goals being spread across the team really typified their performance this morning. In every game the level of passing and the continual effort to help each other was so pleasing to see. Louie and Argyll worked tirelessly to help the team throughout too.
Special mention to Kaii who, in the last minute of the last game, still found the energy with 3 opposition players breathing down his neck, to complete a double goal line clearance.
Thanks for all your support this morning.

An important morning for us at Braes FC 2019s- our first entering 2 teams! Our wee group of kids has grown so much in the last 8 months, that we’ve now managed to give an additional team of players the opportunity to wear our badge with pride. And we did it the Braes way- with positivity, everyone getting game time and trying lots of positions.
Coach Graeme and Coach Emily took our team of 6 on a great run this morning- with plenty of goals, results and effort from all the kids. Special mention in particular to Harry for playing his first proper Saturday as a Braes player and kicking it off with a hat-trick in his first game! Kaii and Finn also managed to get themselves on the score sheet, with Bonnie, Austin and Lewis running constantly all morning for the team with some brilliant forward moves as well as defensive skill.
Coach Barry, Coach Kerry and Coach Kara took our 5 boys through some tough fixtures today too. We saw a couple of wonder strikes this morning from James, Jack and Oliver. And there were a couple of really hard fought draws in there that saw some valiant defending and some goal line clearances from Caleb to save the day. Special mention to Harris who did not stop running for his team today- switching sides and filling in when his teammates needed support.
A proud day for all of us at Braes FC 2019s. Thank you to everyone that came along to support our kids. 1-2-3 Braes FC 🖤🤍🖤

What a beautiful night for some warm up games with Falkirk. The sun was splitting the sky, the beautiful Falkirk stadium sat in the background and the kids played some lovely football.
Everyone is raring to go for Saturday now and the restart of our Fun-4s again- this time with 2x 2019 teams!!

What a brilliant Saturday of football the 2019s had this weekend. We started with a thrilling game where Kai scored in the last seconds to finish on a draw!
Throughout the morning, Braes demonstrated great energy with Louie and Finn constantly chasing the ball and Jack defending well. In our second game some quick passing from the back, which we’ve been working on consistently in training, saw both Kai and Harris finishing some lovely goals.
In our third game came a brilliant deserved goal from Finn after all his hard work he had put in; Bonnie came close to a goal and was working hard defending with great passes!
Kai scored an amazing goal again in our fourth game from the right hand side. By this point Braes were well in their stride showing off with some great turns and footwork from Louie and Harris, with Brannon defending well getting infront of the ball too.
In our final game we saw an impressive goal, which deserves a special mention. Kai gave a perfect pass to Jack to score and put us in the lead. Braes continued to chase the ball and defend well, Jack quickly scored his 2nd goal of the game, with Finn scoring our 3rd and final goal of the day.
There were so many positives from our weekend games that demonstrated why all the hard work and dedication in training is important. Everyone played really well and worked hard. We saw so many examples of great passing and footwork, with the players putting what they have learned from training into the games. It was brilliant to see!
And most important of all, everyone had fun.
