Thought we'd give you a different perspective of the quarry.
Easy access via a fine-gravel beach or popping off the end of the pontoon. Maximum depth is approximately 6m, which gradually drops off...which means warmer than sea temps in the summer and colder than normal sea temps in the winter. Sauna is typically on waters edge, although we sometimes put it just around the corner in a really strong west wind. From waste depth entry to the far wall is 90m in length.
Parking is approximately 400m up the track, a track that is firm underfoot and usually involves a relaxing, woody walk down the track. The track can get a tad wet at the bottom, if we've had heavy rain.
Toilet and hot shower facilities are around 250m back up the track, cafe 350m back up.
Social area being built, directly opposite quarry entry...as are the changing facilities.

Wall number 2 is nearly complete!
Lacking basic DIY skills of any description, I’m still amazed at how long each section take. A solid 4 hours went into completing wall no. 2…and it’s not finished. It also includes a random cat flat…that we’ll use for ventilation on hot days.

Next Goodygrane Lido session : we’ll be back at this glorious swim location on June 19. Putting on an afternoon & evening session. Water should be pushing 20 degrees…
