A brilliant but ultimately frustrating trip to the lovely Lake Emeraude last week. 6 bites but just one landed due to a combination of snags, w**d and hookpulls.
Weather was from single figures through to 30+ degrees, which kicked off the spawning and killed the fishing.
Looking forward to going back at some point with revenge in mind!!

First overnighter of the year earlier this week, followed by a morning of working in the sunshine! Rewarded with a lovely clean 27lb common in the early hours, huzzah!

Didn't start the best after breaking the rod tip in the car on the way to the river, but this one starts off the cheesepaste river sessions for the winter. Lovely chubly!

Love the Autumn! Two nights at the club water leading to the biggest fish in the lake at 44lb 2oz! Spreading 20mm boilies with a throwing stick at 100yds also led to back ups of 27lb and 17lb, and a sore back and shoulder!!

Enjoyed a couple of nights down at and endured a frustrating but ultimately successful trip resulting in mirrors of 22.2lb, 19.15lb and 13.8lb.
Lovely little fishery but that one I lost at first light after a half hour battle will haunt me for a long time as I know it was a good one!
Great times with - looking forward to the next one already!

My new working from home buddy, Ziggy! Although most of this morning has already been spent stopping her eating the plants

Great three night trip back over the Ardleigh Reservoir last weekend. Again, benefiting from friends who'd fished the previous few nights I managed a couple of upper twenty pound fish. Great company, all sorts of weather, and still not sure whether it was Paul or the dog snoring in the next bivvy. Need to plan the next one...

Took advantage of the change in weather and managed to sneak a night in last night, very Mick licking my wounds after the two nights blank last week. Happy to say much more successful this time!
Two commons at 16lb and 23lb, and then my biggest of the year at 30lb on the nose (weighed many, many times to make sure!!)
Now to not fall asleep at my desk...

Back from 3 nights on a new water, and thanks to a large helping of local knowledge, managed to nab a couple including a 29.4lb beauty. Red Fish snowmen over mixed size boilies the same flavour.
Shame it went cold but already itching to get back!

2 nights fishing was eventful, especially at the start and end! First bite within an hour of getting them out, and then the last ones as the rods were on the ground and the rest on the barrow. Lost another in between, and worked my way through wind, rain and sun across 2 nights! yellow Red Fish popups over crumbed boilie, flaked maize and dead maggots. Spombing in the wind experience definitely leveled up too as a result too!
