🏏 End of Season Debrief – Ferrybridge Cricket Club
As another season comes to a close, it’s time to look back on what has been a challenging but hugely positive year for Ferrybridge Cricket Club.
The season threw plenty at us, with some big players leaving the club, but the response from everyone involved was fantastic. We pulled together, strengthened as a squad and improved significantly throughout the season. There is plenty to be proud of and, more importantly, plenty to be excited about for the future. 💙
🥇 First Team – 5th Place | 175 Points
The First Team finished 5th with 175 points, putting together a strong campaign despite the challenges faced throughout the season.

A brilliant effort across all three areas of the game and a real indication of the strength developing within the squad.
🏏 Second Team – 6th Place
The Seconds finished 6th, but the league position doesn’t tell the full story.
The biggest positive was the number of younger players coming through and showing real promise. They were given opportunities, gained valuable experience and showed plenty of signs that the future of the club is in good hands.

There were some excellent individual performances, but the biggest takeaway is the promise shown by the next generation of Ferrybridge players. 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who has taken on the responsibility of captaining the club throughout the season – Dale Johnson, Paul Wadsworth, Jack Hart, Kieron Blanchard and Dave Shaw, Steve Walton as well as everyone who has stepped up to lead when required. Regardless of how long your captaincy lasted, your efforts have been hugely appreciated.
