⚽🌱 15 YEARS LATER… FOOTBALL IS BACK IN CRICH! ❤️💙

What a brilliant sight! After around 15 years without football, the Crich pitch has finally come back to life — and our junior players were the ones to kick it off! ⚽🙌

A massive thank you to Crich Parish Council for helping make this happen and supporting the return of football to the pitch.

Even better, local residents were stopping to watch and support the games. That’s exactly what community football should be about. 👏

We’ve also been able to use some of the generous sponsorship from Slacks Travel to purchase temporary goals, giving us the opportunity to make better use of the pitch and provide more football for our young players. 🙌

A pitch that’s been quiet for 15 years is now full of young players again.

And hopefully… this is just the beginning! 🌱⚽

We’re back 26/27 season and first game for Tansley Blues at the Estadio de Fetey!

Tansley Blues 1-1 Frechville

Tansley Blues welcomed Frechville, last seasons runners up in the league at a tightly contested game.

The match was a closely fought battle between two really good teams from start to finish!
Frechville took the lead from a set piece corner routine which took Tansley off guard. The game toing and froing until Paul unleashed a blinder from 20 yards!

Not a lot between the teams and a well earned draw for the first game of the season. The Blues host Glapwell next week and the lads will be ready! 💜💙

Man of the Match today was Paul, working hard making things happen and getting the important goal.

💙 Tansley Juniors FC Supports Ashgate Hospice 💙

Tansley Juniors Football Club were honoured to donate £327.44 to Ashgate Hospice in memory of Kate Walmsley.

Kate received incredible care, compassion and support from everyone at Ashgate Hospice, and this donation is our small way of saying thank you, while helping to celebrate and remember Kate’s life. 💙

The money was raised through the TJFC Blues U12s Football Fun Day, held at The Fete Field in Tansley, with every penny of the profits donated directly to Ashgate Hospice.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated and supported the event. Your generosity has helped us turn a fantastic day of football and community spirit into something that will make a real difference.

We hope this donation helps Ashgate Hospice continue the incredible work they do supporting local people and their families when they need it most.

The Fetey is back to its pitch-er perfect best!

After plenty of hard work getting the pitches ready, we’re all set for the new season kick-off this weekend!

🌱 More Community Support for Tansley Juniors FC

Following on from the exciting news that Slacks Coaches have become club sponsors, we’ve got some more fantastic community support to share!

Former Tansley Juniors player Jake Neville has come to our rescue by arranging for the pitches at Fete Field to be aerated. After such a long, dry summer, the pitches are in need of some TLC to help the grass recover, grow and get back to their best. ⚽🌱

A huge thank you to Wardmans for kindly lending us a slitter, and to Luke Neville for allowing us to borrow a tractor to get the job done. 🚜

The club is incredibly grateful for the fantastic support we continue to receive from local businesses, families, former players and the wider community.

This is what community is all about — people coming together to support our local club and help give our young players the best facilities possible.
