Maiden Newton U10 Girls vs Dexter Sports
After a highly anticipated start to the season, the Maiden Newton U10 Girls welcomed Dexter Sports for their first match.
Having had a long break from competitive football, the girls came out fighting and showed exactly what a fantastic team they are. From the first whistle, they worked hard for one another and gave 100% throughout the game.
Defensively, the girls were excellent. They made some crucial tackles, stayed composed under pressure and worked hard to keep Dexter Sports at bay.
The midfield worked tirelessly, constantly looking to move the ball forward while also tracking back to support the defence. Our strikers did a brilliant job of holding the ball up, bringing others into play and finding space.
Overall, it was a fantastic team performance. Every girl worked tirelessly, showed great determination and contributed to an excellent game.
Player of the Match was Maddie! 🏆 I honestly don’t think there was a second of the game where she wasn’t moving, tackling, winning the ball or looking to play it forward. She had an amazing game and thoroughly deserved the award! 👏
