Final Match Report ‼️
Sunday meant the last game of the season for the Finno boys, as they hoped to put on a thriller. Unfortunately, a good day out with the great people of Thorpe Hesley, was the only good coming from the afternoon!
Tom had lost the toss as usual, with Thorpe Hesley electing to bat, and putting Finningley into the field.
Tom and Harry opened the bowling to two great openers, and very quickly worked out it was bound to be a tricky task. Tom came off after 3 overs with Craig taking over. With Harry and Craig on each end, Craig took the first wicket, falling at 166-1 with Keagan Thiele falling for 67(32) LBW. Harry, however, did not have an illustrious time with the ball going for 108 from his 8 overs.
Craig then removed the other opener, Tom Parker, 9 runs short of his hundred. And after that it looked like Finningley were in control, reducing Thorpe Hesley to 203-5 at one point.
Aditya Singh then came in to weather the storm with 87(50), until he holed out to the safe hands of Craig Rimmer off of the bowling of Jake Eagle, taking his third Finningley wicket.
The final wicket was then mopped up by Geno Eagle, with his first wicket for the club, aided by some smart keeping by his brother, George Eagle. After 36.5 overs bowled, Thorpe Hesley ended up on 333 All out

Finningley had quite a score to overcome, and after a thrashing last week to Rother Valley, the boys were determined to make things right for the last game of the season.
With a good opening partnership of 54 shared between Shaun Fell [38(34)] and Jake Eagle [24(34)], everything looked in control. Unfortunately a few wickets fell in moderately quick succession, as Finningley stumbled from 54-1 to 98-5. Craig Then came in with his highest score in his Finningley Career, with 31(50). This knock included a partnership with Harry, who allegedly shouted no run after every one of his 12 dots in a rotation of Australian And South African accents. Strange. Joe booth came in late to try and blitz some quick runs, but was eventually clean bowled by a full toss, as Finningley were all out for 146, losing by 187 runs.
