We train hard, we compete, we win, we lose. But no matter what, we do it together.
What a great weekend for the team and day 2 of kyorugi (sparring) was no exception.
We gave each team member one personal
element to work on during their match, and they all did just that.
Today wasn’t about medals, it was about self improvement, self control and learning.
Those personal wins turned into 1 bronze, 2 silver and 2 gold - so listening to your instructors does pay off 😂

London Open day 1 done!
One of the highest level poomsae days we’ve experienced as a team and while tough we’re so pleased with the team effort, attitude and more importantly the team spirit on the day.
The team took one bronze, four silver and two gold from the day.
Really looking forward to sparring on day two.

Bit of post session fun. The kids nailed it!
One week to go until the London Open, and the team wanted a full sparring session.
When we arrived, it was 23C and everyone was giving their all. We did back to back, interval based sparring for just over an hour.
Then, as the temperature reached 26C, Colin called it, switching the session to leg strength, control and flexibility work for the final 45 minutes.
All we can hope for is that everyone wants to do their best and give 100%. Even in today’s heat, they all showed that and more.

A fantastic day for the TMTKD team as we travelled to Wolsingham to take part in a Chungdokwan TKD Taekwondo competition.
It was a great opportunity to experience a different style of Taekwondo, with a high standard of competition and a real sense of mutual respect throughout the day. A huge thank you to Katey Wallace for inviting us to take part. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to returning next year.
While we were delighted to bring home a collection of gold, silver and bronze medals across the poomsae, speed kicking, power kicking and flying side kick events, today’s focus was never just about winning. It was about supporting the wider Taekwondo community, challenging ourselves and representing TMTKD with pride.
Everyone who competed did exactly that, showing great determination, sportsmanship and respect on and off the mats. We couldn’t be prouder of the whole team.
Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to all the parents, supporters and organisers who helped make it such an enjoyable day.
