The green renovation is in full swing! So far, in excess of 150 barrow loads of thatch have been scarified out of the green, it has now been hollow cored ( see attached). Tomorrow we remove all the cores then tidy up. On Wednesday we have over a tonne of soil amendments to apply following which new seed will be sown. Drag mats will be used in several directions to work everything into the holes created by hollow coring.
In short, by the time we are done, over 100 man hours will have been voluntarily contributed by a handful of fantastic people. We have been fuelled by the great sandwiches provided by the wonderful Mo and Paul.
