The team headed to Largs for the first of their midweek friendlies and came away with the points against a well organised Largs squad.

Largs went ahead early in the game but Adam quickly brought us level before Aarren went onto win a penalty after being brought down in Largs box. He calmly scored the 2nd giving us the advantage.

Largs played some really nice football and kept the game end to end. An amazing goal line clearance from Zach and another goal from Aarren kept us ahead going into halftime.

We started to tire in the heat and some changes provided fresh legs and another two goals from Ethan M.

Thank you to Largs for their hospitality as always and all the best for the rest of the season.

The referee was very complimentary of the team and the football played from both sides.

First competitive league game took place on Saturday for us and first 3 points secured for the team.

We started slow and scrappy and went end to end with Boswell before taking the lead with a goal from Adam. It gave us confidence to settle the game and keep pressing Boswell going into the second half in the lead.

Some changes in the second half and we got the ball moving quicker with some lovely passing build up creating plenty of chances. We hit the post, crossbar and just couldn’t finish to get us another few goals then a brilliant first touch from Paul and through ball from Freddie got Sparky the 2nd goal. He created runs all game and finally got the goal.

Boswell kept on at us as we started to get tired legs, with minimal subs it really tested the boys. They also hit the post but we managed to hold the lead to the end. Well done to Logan and Humphrey on their clean sheet. All the best to Boswell for the rest of the season.

It’s with a heavy heart that we write about our former player Kyle Ritchie who has sadly passed away 💙

Kyle was part of our 2006 team and on the pathway to Darvel FC. Kyle was not just a team mate but a brother to everyone that knew him.

Our thoughts are with Kyle’s family, friends and everyone connected with Kyle
