Could a 2nd birthday theme get any sweeter than this?!

A super cute pizza cake for little Lyla, packed with all the candy shop goodness and the prettiest pastel shades. Think sweets, sprinkles, sugary colours and basically everything a two-year-old’s dreams are made of! 🩷💜🩵

Each little “pizza slice” got its own sweet makeover, because when the brief is TWO SWEET, there’s really no such thing as too much candy! 😂🍬

Bright, fun, girly and completely adorable… I absolutely loved bringing this one together.

🎭🖤💛BEHIND THE MASK… THERE’S CHOCOLATE! 🖤💛🎭

When the birthday theme is a Masquerade Ball, you don’t turn up with a quiet little cake… you bring the DRAMA! ✨

Summer’s cake had one job, to match the glamour and mystery of the evening, and I think this beauty understood the assignment perfectly.

A striking solid black backdrop set the scene, dressed with a statement gold masquerade mask, delicate edible gold leaf and dramatic plumes to give it that proper midnight masquerade feel. 🖤💛

And underneath all that glamour? Chocolate cake! Because if you’re going to be dramatic on the outside, you may as well be delicious on the inside too. 😂🍫

There’s just something about black and gold that instantly looks luxurious, and this has to be one of those cakes that makes you look twice.

Elegant, mysterious, a little bit extravagant… and definitely not one for hiding behind a mask! 🎭🖤💛

🎂 4 YEARS OF MAKING CAKES… AND HERE’S WHAT I’VE LEARNED 🎂

Four years of Heritage Cupcakes and I’ve definitely learned a few things along the way… 😂

🍰 A “simple cake” is very rarely simple.

🧁 “I’ll leave the design up to you” is both exciting AND terrifying.

🎂 No matter how organised I am, there will always be something I’ve forgotten to buy.

🛒 I can go into a shop for ONE cake-related thing and come out £40 lighter.

😬 Delivering or carrying a finished cake still makes me hold my breath like it’s my first ever order.

✨ A little bit of edible glitter somehow ends up absolutely EVERYWHERE.

📱 My camera roll is approximately 90% cake.

❤️ And the biggest one… people trusting me to make something for their special occasions still means just as much now as it did when I first started.

Four years, hundreds of cakes, thousands of cupcakes and probably enough buttercream to fill a swimming pool 😂

Thank you to everyone locally who has ordered, recommended me, shared my posts or simply stopped to have a nosey at my cakes.

Ivy turned 6 and subtle was absolutely NOT invited to this party! 😂

We went full-on NEON GLOW CRAZY with a bright, bold cake, matching cupcakes and sugar cookies that looked like they’d walked straight out of a glow party! 🌈💥

🌸🌿 A cake made especially for Pat 🌿🌸

When someone loves nothing more than flowers, plants and pottering around in the garden, there really was only one theme we could go with! 🌷🪴

We filled Pat’s cake with pretty garden details, and added a little fondant NHS logo as a special nod to her incredible 50+ year nursing career. Now that really is something worth celebrating. 🫶🏻

And inside? A classic vanilla sponge with jam, because Pat loves a good old Vicky sponge and sometimes you just can’t beat the classics! 🍰

A little bit of Toon nostalgia for Ryan’s big 3-0!

For this NUFC themed cake we stepped away from the usual black and white and went with a blue and white colour palette, finished with the traditional Magpie to give it that lovely nostalgic Newcastle feel.

I love when a football cake can still feel a little different while keeping that unmistakable connection to the club. ⚽️

🏍️🏁💙BIKE MAD & FOUR! 🏁🏍️💙

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of making all of Archie’s birthday cakes, and now he’s turning the grand old age of 4! 🥹💙 It’s honestly such a lovely honour to be asked back each year and watch his birthday themes change as he grows.

This year, though, there was only ever going to be one theme… DIRT BIKES! 🏍️ Archie is completely bike mad, so we went all in!

We tried to mimic Archie’s own bike and helmet, keeping everything in the same colour scheme, and then came THAT topper… 😂🙌

Yep… that’s actually little Archie himself imposed right into the action!
I mean… my cake topper lady is better than yours! 😂👏
’caketastickitchen absolutely smashed it AGAIN!

And obviously we couldn’t leave it there… a batch of matching cupcakes tied the whole theme together perfectly. 🧁🏁💙

From his very first birthday cake to his big NUMBER 4… I absolutely love being a little part of Archie’s birthdays each year. 💙

When the birthday boy loves Margherita pizza, Apple computers AND giant chocolate buttons, you somehow have to get all three onto the cake! 😂

So for Lucas’s 16th birthday treats, we brought all his favourites to life with a pizza cake and matching cupcakes for his family and mates to tuck into. 🧁

Of course, the pizzas had to be jelly ones… because as much as Lucas loves a Margherita, I’m pretty sure tomato, mozzarella and buttercream is a combination nobody asked for! 🤢😂

Well Lisa… HERE IT BLOODY IS! 🤣🙌

Gorgeous red velvet, lashings of cream cheese frosting and 8 slices all to herself… although after listening to her go on about it for this long, I think she’s earned it! 😂
