๐ฃ Falconโs flapping fruitless against determined Dynamics ๐ฃ
A thrilling Sunday evening in Gillingham saw the Dynamics hold the Falcons to a hard fought 0-0 draw to extend the Invicta unbeaten run to 3 games in the 2021/22 season.
The Falcons travelled in their numbers to Gillingham and came out hard in the first period pressing the Dynamics defense in search of a goal. Trunchion in the Dynamics net stood fast to ensure the MK attacks were halted.
Further exchanges throughout the 2nd and 3rd periods saw the waves of attacks from both sides with momentum shifting throughout. A number of chances, one of which had hearts in mouths as the Dynamics came agonisingly close to scoring with a shot from Davis hitting the post and rolling across the goal line. Frustrations ran high meaning the usually reserved Dynamics defence took their fair share of opportunities to shoot to which the Falconโs netminder was equal.
Further attacks were thwarted as the Falconโs numbers showed as the Dynamics tired as the game went on, but the ladies held on for a hard fought draw.
Shutouts for each netminder (Trunchion with 26 and the MK netminder facing 22) and a well rounded defensive display from both teams saw the points shared.
Player of the Game for the Dynamics was #23 Mel Prowse

Milton Keynes 1-2 Invicta Dynamics
The Dynamics travelled to Milton Keynes to take on the Falconsโ development team and after a tense 60 minutes of close fought hockey, the Dynamics emerged victorious.
Goals from veteran forward Amanda Grout and Newbie Zoe Standish sealed the victory for the Dynamics in their second game of the season. Some staunch defending protected debutant Netminder Maddie Trunchion from multiple waves of Falcons attack, which the Invicta defence battled mercilessly.
A last minute barrage from the Falcons forced some wonder saves from Trunchion, utilising every inch of her pads to save at the back door in the final seconds as the Dynamics held off the hosts to clinch their second victory of the season.
Man of the Match for Invicta went to Maddy Trunchion
We would like to thanks the Falcons for hosting us and look forward to welcoming you to Gillingham in the near future.

๐ Debbie Austin ๐
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of former Invicta Dynamics forward Debbie Austin.
Debbie joined the Dynamics in 2017 when the team had re-entered the league following the club folding. She joined the team with no experience on the ice but with the greatest attitude, will to succeed and compete level. She was a beast who would stop at nothing to challenge others and herself to be better. A hilarious, kind & caring person, she fitted into the team seemlessly, stepping in to a leadership role when called upon. On the ice, she fought hard in every battle and she will be loved and missed by all of her Dynamics Family. She will forever be a Dynamic.
Sleep tight Debbie.

๐ฃ๐ฅ Dynamics weather the Storm ๐ฅ๐ฃ
Today saw the new look Dynamics compete in their first game of the Womenโs Development Cup against our nearby neighbours the Streatham Storm Development.
The Dynamics took to the ice against a well drilled Streatham side and following a spirited game, the Dynamics ran out 4-2 winners.
The first period got off to a bang, with Invicta Junior Charlotte Davenport-Jeffery opened the Dynamics scoring just a few minutes in with a tremendous solo effort.
Kirsty Horan made it 2-0 in the second, assisted by defence(wo)man Mel Prowse with her first ever game point.
Following some physical play from both sides, Davenport-Jeffery made the score 3-0 at the back post, assisted by Horan following a scrambled play by the Streatham netminder.
Some penalties on both sides led to a period of strong play from the storm, who fired 2 goals in quick succession past the Invicta shot stopper Robinson with just 53 seconds remaining in the 3rd.
A time out from Streatham allowed the Dynamics to rally themselves against a spirited fight back from the Storm, but play eventually broke down and the puck fell to Em Larkin, who expertly fed the puck to Horan who notched her 2nd of the night at 59:59!
The Dynamics finished the game 4-2 victors in a well fought and thoroughly enjoyable game.
Woman of the match for the hosts went to Netminder Rhiannon Frowde.
Woman of the match for Invicta went to Captain Amy OโBrien.
The Dynamics would like to extend our thanks to the Storm for hosting us in what was for many of our girls, their very first match!
We look forward to welcoming the our friends at the Storm to Gillingham later in the season!
