Amazing weather so time to start cycling season!
Yesterday 30km ride after work and today 22km after work
Yesterday I cycled from city centre to clydebank along the river and then rode along canal towards speirs wharf and Glasgow green.
Today as post recovery ( yes I had some pains..) went for social ride with my friend - slower pace and did 22km. Went to Queens Park, pollok park and Bellahouston park and returned along the river.
Now time for some rest and then cycling again!

What a day! I have had my first cycling trip with my work colleague who beated her cycling record. I have done over 92km (over 57miles) yesterday and Simona 98!
We had plan to go just to Falkirk Wheel, but ended up in Kelpies and just on way back popped in to Falkirk Wheel.
The route is mostly flat, but it is really long, especially you feel that if you don't cycle regularly. So far this year I did max 30km, so can feel the difference.
This route in 99% cycling friendly meaning that you don't have to use any roads, just cycling path all the way.
Below you can find highlights of our great trip in beautiful sunny day!

Hello everyone! Yesterday I cycled 119km! 74 miles
After last Saturday cycling, when I reached 70km, I thought myself that it is my maximum for now.
And what happened yesterday? I've beaten my personal record (106km in 2021)!!
I have to admit that I did it thanks to my friend who motivated me during cycling.
It was completely spontaneous decision to do more distance. At first the plan was to cycle just to Falkirk Wheel and come back ( that would be around 75-80km)
While we did a small break in Kelpies, I made a suggestion that we could cycle to Avon Aqueduct and even to Linlithgow Palace (extra 17-20 km one way) just because wanted to show these places to my friend... I considered for a while to take train back on the way, but kept motivated to cycle back together until Glasgow and managed to do all that distance.
Our route was Glasgow - Falkirk Wheel - Kelpies - Linlithgow Palace -Avon Aqueduct -Falkirk Tunnel and tunnel next to Falkirk Wheel! ( I will upload video in separate post as cannot upload photos and videos in the same one) plus some other videos from the cycling route.
And I have to say that yesterday of course had a bit sore legs, but today I am completely fine ( Ok, I just feel tired!)
Please enjoy here the photos of my trip and add any questions / comments if having any.
Enjoy!

Hello again! As I mentioned in previous post that need to enjoy the weather - I enjoyed again and had even longer ride today - 70km - 43.5 miles!
Route - nothing new - to Balloch ( just on the way back cycled bit extra to do that '70'km ( just Balloch both ways around 65km)
For the first time I joined the ride with Let's Ride community and chose the ride with Breeze group - women only, all supported by British Cycling. Please have a look at both profiles. They organise various events in your areas and it is free to join. They are led by trained leaders. It was really fun and it is for all ages. They have shorter and longer routes - you can choose the one you like.
As you see, if you don't want to cycle alone, you can always join one of these rides!
Happy Easter everyone
BTW... The weather is really great!.

How lucky we are with the weather this long weekend!
Easter Friday I have decided to go again to Ayrshire coast with my friend to do cycling route from Irvine to Ayr. Beautiful weather, views, hidden gem - 'lake' on cycling path, sea, castle - can't wait yet summer!
And yes. I already cycled in January from Troon to Ayr - well the route is 99% traffic free and not many people on the way so really can recommend it!

Do you like to ride when it is dark / in the night? Is anything that puts you off?
I will admit it that in general I don't like night rides without really a reason. I guess I would say the safety - the same like when walking alone in the night.
Still yesterday cycled in the light for my volleyball session but returned already quite late ( after 9pm)
I used all time cycling lane but sometimes I had fear of... Exactly what fear?

And one month later - Mini ride after work. Good that days are getting longer finally! Can't wait but warmer though! Still wasn't bad - 13km done.
Used cycling paths but a lot of road and streets as well - now I feel the pain of drivers when they are stuck in traffic or waiting long time for green light..... Speed statistics drop as well.....

Hello everyone
Nice to be back! It took some time but eventually welcomed new year with this amazing 36km ride! 8 degrees and some clouds and sun - was bit worried to feel cold but in the end didn't feel any cold at all during riding ( I am not recommending longer stays though...) 😁 today I did a ride from Troon to Alloway and the same way returned ( Ayrshire coastal path). Some nice animals on the way and nice 'sunset' in the end, what can want more!
Let's see when I ride again 😂 ( i don't count commuting /short lunch rides)....
