No time for the gym? Try this bodyweight workout....
It's called The Beast;
6 Reps of each exercise in each set,
6 sets in each round,
6 rounds.... That's 6 6 6! :)
20 seconds rest between each set and round.
Round 1;
6 Deep Squats
6 Squat Jumps
6 Burpees
X 6
Round 2;
6 Plyo-Press-ups (claps)
6 Tricep Press-ups (narrow)
6 Slow Hot Hands
X 6
Round 3;
6 Alternate Step-In Lunges
6 Alternate Side Lunges
6 Alternate Back Lunges
X 6
Round 4;
6 Sit-Ups
6 Leg Raises
6 Jacknives
X 6
Round 5;
6 Deep Squats
6 Squat Jumps
6 Burpees
X6
Round 6;
6 Squat Thrusts
6 Straight Mountain Climbers
6 Diagonal Mountain Climbers
X 6
Make sure you warm up properly and mobilise those joints beforehand. A steady cooldown and stretch to end.
The workout should last between 40 and 60 minutes. The rest periods are set but the work periods are not, this allows for progression.
Focus on technique and range of movement, there are regressions and progressions for each exercise - it is a beast!
It's Easter! Time to roll away the stone... Or even better! - burn it off down the gym!!!

Hey guys :) sorry I've been a bit quiet recently. Got a new MetaFit class going at The Arc in Caledonian University on Fridays at 5pm - a good way to welcome the weekend and de-stress after ur working week! £4 and all welcome :)

A big well done to all those who came and finished the year strong with today's MetaFit! A big wipeout workout before the bells lol...
