Yesterday saw the culmination of a wonderful four days of competition with our Women's National Singles finalised and our Women's National Champion crowned.
This year we had record entries with some nail-biting matches played across the field especially from our newer Falcons making their debut at this competition. Eventually the cream rose to the top with back to back wins from our World Champ, Rebecca Rixon and Runner Up once again going to Rita Hedges . Rebecca now goes on to represent Malta at CluBarham in October for the World Champion of Champions.
We also had our inaugural MVP Award aptly named the Mark "Mala"Malogorski MVP Award in honour of our fallen mate and irreplaceable Falcon Mark Malogorski. Mark was a fantastic Bowler and person on and off the green, a true gentleman and someone you could always rely on no matter what.
For our Inaugural year of this award, Marks Partner Nevanka travelled all the way from their home in the Northern Territory to present the award. There were tears all around as she shared many fond memories of Mark and his love of the sport of bowls and his Maltese heritage.
This Award was presented to Jeff Attard who is the epitome of what Mark represented and a very worthy recipient. Congratulations to Jeff🎉
Lastly our thanks must go to Club Tweed for the use of their amazing facilities and exceptional hospitality, Wayne Turley and Emma Boyd for their help in organising the indoor green and assistance in lots of other things at Club Tweed.
Joe Saragozza Crawford Linton Scott Franklin David Rixon Connie Rixon Troy Lorimer and Peter Ellul for your help and assistance to make this wonderful four days a huge success.
Congratulations to all our players and supporters including Norfolk Island Bowling Club for making your way to Tweed Heads and being part of such an enjoyable competition. Safe travels till next time we all meet ❤️ 🇲🇹🇲🇹🇲🇹🇲🇹

Last day of the Test Series saw Malta come out on top winning the day but unfortunately Norfolk Island had already secured the Series win 2-1. We are extremely proud of how our Maltese Falcons - Maltese Lawn Bowlers Association have performed on and off the greens.
We celebrated tonight with a dinner and lots of laughs. Shared lots of wonderful memories made over the course of the week and hope we have the opportunity to win the converted Series Trophy, donated by Phil Jones, in the not so distant future. Thanks to Norfolk Island Bowling Club and those that made this competition possible.
Safe journey home to all players, officials and their supporters.

What a wonderful day of competition for the Inaugural Test Series at Club Tweed. Fierce battles were had across every rink in both the Men's and Women's games.
First series results courtesy of Kieran Law below.
As shown you can see it was very tight with games won was 6 games each so it came down to sets with NI winning 4 more sets than Malta.
Norfolk Island won first Test. Bring on Day Two!!
