Aquarius Full Moon • 29 July 2026
Every full moon offers an opportunity to pause.
In the tropical zodiac, the Full Moon sits opposite the Sun and at this time of year the Sun is moving through Leo, often associated with warmth, vitality, creativity and the element of fire. The Full Moon in Aquarius offers another perspective—space, reflection and clear seeing.
As the moon reflects the light of the sun, we might also take it as a reminder to reconnect with the quiet light within ourselves.
🕯️
Whether or not you follow astrology, a full moon can simply be a gentle reminder to slow down.
Take a comfortable seat.
Rest your hands in Rudra Mudra (lightly touch the tip of the thumb to the tip of the ring finger on each hand, allowing the other fingers to soften and extend naturally).
Take a few slow, unhurried breaths.
Notice what is present.
Notice what needs your care.
Allow yourself a few moments of Practice • Presence • Peace.
May you be faithful to your own life.

Sunday mornings at the Howard Centre ☀️
A week on, I'm still reflecting on our gentle post-solstice Yoga for Everyone practice. We explored breath, slow movement, Rudra Mudra, simple Sun Salutations and the reminder that the body often responds best to patience rather than pressure.
Midsummer isn't only about brightness. It's also an invitation to pause, listen and reconnect with what quietly sustains us. I'm increasingly interested in practices that help us build a life organised around nourishment rather than survival..
Grateful to everyone who shared the morning and to the Ulrike and the growing Yoga for Everyone community.

Still moving through the energy of midsummer and the days of longest light ☀️
This Sunday I’ll be teaching the weekly Yoga for Everyone community class at the Howard Centre in Kilmarnock.
I’ll be bringing a gentle practice focused on breath, grounding and reconnecting with what yoga traditions call our Inner Sun — the Solar Plexus centre associated with vitality, confidence, digestion and inner steadiness.
More and more I believe that life works best when it is structured around nourishment rather than survival.
This Sunday we practice exactly that.

Midsummer 2026 ☀️
A thought on the longest light of the year.
So much of modern life has been organised around survival.
I’m becoming more interested in another possibility...
A life organised around nourishment.

Still reflecting on Sunday’s Yoga for Everyone class in Kilmarnock.
Gentle movement. Breath.
Community. Real people arriving exactly as they are.
For me, yoga was never only about poses. It became a way of returning to baseline — physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually — especially through life’s more complex seasons.
The weather changes. The nervous system changes. Life changes.
We breathe, move, adapt, continue.
Thank you to everyone walking alongside this evolving journey with West Coast OM. 🌿

I place on the altar of dawn:
The quiet loyalty of breath,
The tent of thought where I shelter,
Waves of desire I am shore to
And all beauty drawn to the eye.
May my mind come alive today
To the invisible geography
That invites me to new frontiers,
To break the dead shell of yesterdays,
To risk being disturbed and changed.
May I have the courage today
To live the life that I would love,
To postpone my dream no longer
But do at last what I came here for
And waste my heart on fear no more.

Arran, a week ago 🌿
Time by the sea, space to breathe…
and something quietly shifting underneath it all.
Back now, settling into life again on the mainland - bringing that sense of openness with me ✨
The reminder I’m keeping:
not everything needs pushing.
Some things unfold in their own time.
