Caledonian Braves 2011

Yesterday’s friendly between Caledonian Braves and Cambuslang Rangers finished 2–2, with a strong performance across the pitch but special mention goes to Ayaan, who takes our Player of the Match 👏

Solid in defence all game, he put in some excellent tackles, stayed composed under pressure, and showed real confidence bringing the ball out from the back to start attacks.

Great effort and attitude from the whole squad. Well done boys!

Well deserved man of the match on Saturday. Ryan put in a strong performance from start to finish, and his attitude throughout the game was spot on. Worked hard, stayed focused, and set the standard for the team. 👏⚽

St Peters 4 – 3 Caledonian Braves

Mason was today’s Man of the Match after a strong performance in a tight game against St Peters.

Logan got us off to a great start with the opening goal, but we went into half-time 4–1 down. The response in the second half was excellent - Logan scored again and Ayaan converted a penalty to bring it back to 4–3.

The boys pushed hard right to the end, hit the bar, and created chances but just couldn’t find the equaliser.

Also a very good performance from Jonnie in central midfield.

Shoutout to Maison this weekend 👏

Really composed in midfield, comfortable on the ball and always looking to play forward.

Not the result we wanted as a team, but plenty to build on.

As we hang up our boots for the festive break, the players, coaches and families of the Braves want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

What a year it’s been! We’ve trained hard, played harder, and grown together as a team both on and off the pitch. Win, lose or draw, these lads have given everything every single week and we couldn’t be prouder of them.

And our last Trainer/Player of the Week for 2025 is… Lewis Currie! 👏 Brilliant attitude in training and then delivered when it mattered with a proper performance at the weekend. The perfect way to close out the year – well in, Lewis!

That’s a wrap on 2025! Well played to all the lads at our final session of the year. Couldn’t have asked for a better group – thanks to everyone for your commitment and support this year. Have a great Christmas and we’ll go again in the new year!

Today’s Man of the Match, picked by the referee, was our two-goal hero Logan! 🌟

Logan put us ahead twice and was unlucky not to bag a hat-trick after having a third ruled out for what looked a soft challenge when the keeper spilled the ball.

A huge shout-out to the rest of the boys today - with illness and injuries leaving us down to the bare 11, every single one of them put in a proper shift to get a hard-earned point. 💪

​He put in a massive shift with constant running all game and got himself a well-deserved goal. He was incredibly unlucky not to finish with a brace, denied only by a top-class save from the opposition keeper.

FULL TIME | Caledonian Braves 2011s 3 - 2 St. Cadocs

​The boys returned to winning ways today with a hard-fought and well-deserved victory against St. Cadocs!

​We started strong, taking a 2-0 lead into the break thanks to clinical finishes from Logan and Jaxon. Kyle added a third in the second half to put us in a commanding position.

​It was a nervous finish as St. Cadocs pulled two late goals back, but the Braves dug deep to secure the 3 points. Great performances all over the pitch today!
