The Women’s 1XV started off the League with a tremendous victory over Highland RFC.

All Senior teams in action this weekend!

The 1XV welcome Cartha to Burnbrae, looking to bounce back from their disappointing opening day result.

Meanwhile the 2XV & GU/West both kick off their league campaigns on the road, taking on Edinburgh Accies and Dalziel respectively.

The u18s are also on the road taking on Highland in Inverness.

On Sunday, the Women’s 1XV take on Highland at Home.

The bar will be open from 1:30. All welcome 🔴🟡

After a successful outing last week, the lads will be looking to continue the strong pre-season as they welcome Stirling County to Burnbrae.

An extended squad has been selected, including a large cohort of recent West Academy graduates, who will be eager to impress.

There is an added incentive this time round, as the teams will also be competing for the “Coo Trophy”, which commemorates former West & County player, Hamish Logan.

🚨2XV COACH | PAID ROLE🚨

West of Scotland FC is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious coach to join our senior rugby programme as 2nd XV Coach.

Based at Burnbrae, Milngavie, West of Scotland FC is one of Scotland’s oldest and most respected rugby clubs. Following promotion from West Regional Reserve League 1, our 2nd XV will compete in Arnold Clark Inner City Reserve League 2 this season.

The Role:
• Support the coaching and development of the senior squad
• Work closely with the Senior Coaching Team led by Trevor Carmichael
• Help develop players progressing between youth rugby, the 2nd XV and the 1st XV
• Lead the 2nd XV on match days
• Contribute to player development, selection and season planning
• Promote a positive, inclusive and ambitious team culture

About You:
• Experience coaching senior men’s rugby is preferred
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a wider coaching and volunteer team
• Scottish Rugby UKCC Level 2 desirable but not essential
• Aspiring and developing coaches are encouraged to apply
