🏅 Opposition’s Girl of the Game

⚽️ U10 Milan vs Whickham FC Blacks

A 2nd Opposition’s award of the season for Jessie, who provided a trademark performance of strength and bravery for us on Sunday.

With injury striking the camp, we changed our usual set up which meant Jessie played the first half on her own at the back. A tough challenge, but of course she bossed it. Catching the eye of the Opposition’s coaches for her calmness in possession, for her ability to read the game, defending expertly and playing us out from danger 💪🏼

Class yet again Jessie, well done 🖤🤍

🏅 Referee’s Girl of the Game

⚽️ U10 Milan vs Whickham FC Blacks

What better way to celebrate your 100th appearance for the club than to pick up an award, as well as getting on the scoresheet 👏

Elsie at her best again last Sunday, demonstrating her impressive versatility. Starting in CM, before pushing wide when we had to drop to 6 players through injury. Then slotting in at the back in the 2nd half as we made some changes.

A mazy run down the left in the first half ended with a fantastic left footed strike across goal and in to the far corner. Elsie picked up the award from the Referee for her tireless energy from start to finish.

Class Elsie, well done 🖤🤍

🏅 Opposition’s Girl of the Game

⚽️ U12 Juve vs West Denton Scorpions

Juve exit the Cup in the 1st Round following a defeat to the talented West Denton Scorpions. We knew when the draw was made how tough the challenge was going to be, playing a team a year older and several divisions higher, but we took on the challenge and will have learned a lot from it 💪🏼

Olivia took the applause from the Opposition’s Coaches for her performance, finding the net with a tidy finish in the 2nd half and never giving up throughout. Always looking to try and cause their defenders headaches with her relentless pressing from the front 👏

We lose, we learn. We go again on Sunday 🖤🤍

Milan march on 🫡

Class again from the Milan girls as they battled through the bumps and bruises to go 4 wins from their opening 4.

We went into the game with no outfield subs, knowing that the girls were going to have to dig in. After opening the scoring and creating another, Lola’s game unfortunately came to an end in the 1st half with a knock. Battling on to the break a player down, the girls did exceptionally well, with Elsie scoring a fantastic left footed finish on her 100th appearance for the club 💪🏼

At HT, one of our GK’s Myla quickly changed tops and went up front for the 2nd half. An outstanding performance from Myla ended with her getting on the scoresheet twice! We also saw Maya rewarded for her hard work putting defenders under pressure as she cooly found the bottom corner with her left to record her first league goal in black and white ⚽️

An excellent performance of resilience in difficult circumstances to battle through and to pick up a well earned victory. Fantastic from every one of the girls 🖤🤍

💯 Elsie joins the 100 club 💯

Our Milan Captain, Elsie, will make her 100th appearance for Newcastle City Juniors on Sunday in our league game against Whickham FC Blacks.

Elsie joined City as an U8, one of the first to join our newly formed Pumas team at the time. What Elsie has gone on to achieve for us in that time is nothing short of remarkable. Made Captain at the start of last season, she took on the responsibility perfectly and never takes the importance of her role for granted. Leading by example in every training session and every match. She may be the smallest in height, but she’s the biggest of personalities and she lifts every one around her with her presence.

Here’s some highlights of Elsie’s first 100 in black and white:

- 4x Player of the Month
- 2x Outstanding Player of the Season
- 2x Sunday Boys/Mixed League Winner
- 1x Saturday Girls League Winner
- 16x Tournament Winner
- 1x Northern Regional Winner
- Girls Academy Cup squad a year up
- Played in fixtures against 12 professional club pathway teams

Elsie, a legend in black and white. Thank you for your incredible commitment and we look forward to seeing what the next 100 bring 🖤🤍

⚫️⚪️ We are delighted to welcome Rosie to Newcastle City Juniors for the 2026/27 season ⚫️⚪️

Rosie is a player that we have been interested in bringing in to the group for a while and we’re excited to finally get the agreement. Rosie joins our U12 Juve team having played with a number of the girls for the past 18 months. Retained in the summer by Durham, moving up to their U12 squad, Rosie will now be playing a year up on both Saturdays & Sundays.

Rosie comes straight in to the squad for this Sundays County Cup fixture and we’re really excited with what she’ll bring to our group 💪🏼

Welcome to City, Rosie 🖤🤍
