ParaMet is a Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) funding 12
PhD Scholarships. The research of ParaMet will concentrate on genomic,
metabolic and regulatory mechanisms of protozoan parasites, in
multidisciplinary projects, identifying areas of parasite metabolism and key
factors of host-parasite interactions that may be exploitable for new
chemotherapies. Systems approaches involving mathematical modelling of
metabolic and transcriptional processes will be central.
