Ashfield Coleman Training Services Giants riders Douglas and Ella Marshall were competing in the final round of the British Youth Championship at Workington yesterday.

Douglas won the 125cc support class and Ella again got on the podium with 3rd place.

Douglas was in second place going into the competition, 2 points behind leader Callum Hague, the win meant points over all Douglas over took Callum to win on the day and win the championship over all.

Ella again got on the podium for the 4th time consolidating 3rd place in the championship, Ella made history yesterday becoming the first Scottish female rider to win a podium place and coming 3rd in the championship.

Well done Douglas and Ella, you have made everyone at Glasgow very proud. your progress this year has been incredible. Winning and 3rd place the 125cc support class championship in your first year of the sport is phenomenal, nobody has done that before. It really is remarkable.

It has been a good year for Scottish Youth Speedway this year with Edinburgh academy riders Lewis Hague winning the 125cc class and brother Callum coming second in the support class.

This means Scottish riders have won 125cc class and a Scottish 1, 2, 3 in the support class has made a very impressive year for these young Scottish riders, well done to all of them on their great achievements this year.
