It was a great away day for Langside Football Club's last match of the year. This was a return leg friendly against a Stirling University staff team. There was some great play from both teams and some cracking goals including for Stephen McDowell.

The exact score is lost in the mists of the M80 but we think it was a narrow victory for Stirling U. Looking forward to a re-match in 2026!

It was another great run out for Langside Football Club today in a friendly match against Young Boys of Partick. The previous meeting of these two sides had ended in a landslide for Partick.

So Langside were determined to keep it tight and started the first half very well before losing an opening goal around the half hour mark. However Stephen O’Connor scored an equaliser with an outstanding long-range effort and it was all square at half time.

In the second half Langside had some good chances but Partick showed their experience and pulled away on the scoreboard. Final score 5-1 to Young Boys of Partick.

Full Time:
Langside FC - 2
Stirling Uni - 2

The score says it all, in an even match, Langside were quick off the mark to go 2 up before Stirling pulled one back followed by another in quick sucession.

Many opportunities for both sides but in the end a draw was a fair result.

A good game played in great spirit!
