🇩🇰 Christian Eriksen is conscious and doing well after collapsing during Denmark’s friendly against Ukraine.

The midfielder went down in the 65th minute after appearing to clutch his chest, leading to the match being abandoned.

Denmark team doctor Morten Boesen confirmed Eriksen briefly lost consciousness but recovered quickly, walked off the pitch himself, and was able to communicate with medical staff. He has been taken to hospital for further tests.

Eriksen was fitted with an Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD) after suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 match against Finland in 2021.

Wishing Christian a full and speedy recovery. ❤️

🏆 Only 8 nations have ever won the FIFA World Cup.

Since the tournament began in 1930, just eight countries have lifted football’s biggest prize. Brazil lead the way with five titles, while Argentina’s triumph in Qatar 2022 took them to three World Cups.

Will a new nation join the list in 2026, or will one of football’s traditional giants add another star? 🌎⚽

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Can this Scotland squad make history and reach the World Cup knockout stages for the first time ever?

Scotland have qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 1998 and now have the chance to achieve something no Scotland men’s team has ever done — progress beyond the group stage.

This squad arguably has more top-level experience than any Scotland World Cup squad in generations, with players such as Andy Robertson, Scott McTominay, John McGinn, Kieran Tierney and Lewis Ferguson all performing at the highest level in Europe.

There are also exciting young talents coming through, including Findlay Curtis and Ben Gannon-Doak, while experienced campaigners Craig Gordon, Grant Hanley and Che Adams provide leadership and know-how.

A lot will depend on injuries and whether Scotland can turn strong performances into results on the biggest stage. But there is genuine reason for optimism.

Could this finally be the Scotland team that makes history in 2026? 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇲🇽

🚨🍀 Martin O’Neill has agreed to become Celtic’s permanent manager.

The 74-year-old has given the green light to an initial one-year deal at Parkhead following talks with Celtic majority shareholder Dermot Desmond.

O’Neill returned to the club twice last season and guided Celtic to a domestic double, clinching the Scottish Premiership title on the final day before lifting the Scottish Cup at Hampden.

Speaking after the cup final, O’Neill suggested the club may look for “somebody younger” as their next manager, but he now appears set to remain in charge for the 2026/27 campaign.
