*And a Shout Out to Our Younger Girls*
Running rampant out at Pitreavie Winter Festivals! β½οΈ
Some of our younger girls who are often playing against older opposition have taken part at their own age group playing fun 4βs. And have absolutely smashed it πͺ
Scoring goals, getting loads of touches on the ball and learning how to play every position. Itβs a great reminder of how good they actually are and brilliant to see their confidence growing each week. π€π§‘β½οΈ
Well done, girls β youβve been amazing! π€π§‘β½οΈ

π Annual Penalty Kick Competition 2025 π
Huge congratulations to Eilidh, our winner this year!
She scored 3 out of 5 in the opening round and an impressive 7 out of 9 in total β a fantastic achievement! π―
The contest continued into three intense rounds of sudden death with Evah, Tuppence and Ana all battling brilliantly.
After a nail-biting showdown, it came down to the final two β Eilidh and her cousin Ana. Ana stepped up for the final penalty, but a fantastic save from coach Kathryn kept it out, meaning Eilidh was crowned penalty queen for this year! β½π
π Well done to all the girls who took part β brilliant effort from everyone π§‘π€
π And a massive thank you to everyone who sponsored the girls

π Coachβs Commentsπ
Since stepping up from our Sunday classes, Alice has barely missed a session or a game β and her progress has been incredible. Her confidence on the ball grows each week, sheβs now consistently picking out teammates and her positional awareness is improving game by game.
Alice also shows fantastic team spirit. She never hesitates to volunteer for a turn in goal and pulled off some brilliant saves in a tough match earlier this week.
Most importantly, she plays with a smile on her face. Keep up the good work Alice π§‘π€βοΈ

πβ½οΈ Golden Ball Award β½οΈπ
π€π§‘ Winner(s): Amelie and Evah π§‘π€
βΈ»ββββββββββββββββ
π Coachβs Commentsπ
This week the award had to be shared between Amelie and Evah both were absolutely exceptional, and there was no way to separate them.
In a game where we lost a few early goals in the first five minutes, we needed leaders to step up⦠and these two delivered in every department.
From scoring goals, winning tackles, linking play, and setting up chances Amelie and Evah were everywhere and played a huge part in dragging us back into the match.
We did fight our way back into the game thanks to the whole teamβs effort, and every girl should be proud.
But this week, Amelie and Evah stood out with two brilliant, determined performances.
π₯ Well done girls fully deserved! π₯

π Coachβs Comments on Alice π
Alice has recently stepped up from the Sunday classes and has already played a few games for us β and what an impression sheβs made! π
Her attitude to learn and her ability to take things on board have been outstanding. From understanding new positions to physically competing with some of our strongest players in training, sheβs given absolutely everything. πͺβ½
And letβs not forget her unbelievable performance in goals, where she pulled off five or six brilliant saves to keep us in the game! π§€π₯
Alice has been a fantastic addition to the squad, and one of the best things to see has been how the girls have supported her and really taken her under their wing. π€
Keep up the amazing work, Alice β youβve been superb! ππ§‘π€

π€π§‘ Winner: Brogan Drew π§‘π€
βΈ»ββββββββββββββββ
π Coachβs Comments on Brogan π
Brogan has only been with us a few weeks, but sheβs already performing like sheβs been part of the team for much longer. She understands instructions and positions really well, and her ability on the ball is excellent. Her striking technique is impressive, and sheβs fitted in brilliantly with the group, adding to the fantastic atmosphere the girls create.
Brogan earned the Golden Ball for really listening, taking on feedback, and showing great improvement throughout the session. What stood out even more was her maturityβwhen picking teams, she put herself in defence, a selfless decision that showed true team spirit. She looked comfortable in that position, excelling with some great blocks and confident passes out from the back.
Each week, Brogan grows in confidence, gets more involved, and continues to show just what a talented player she is.
Keep up the brilliant work, Brogan! πβ½οΈπ§‘π€

Coaches report
We had enough girls to enter two teams in the round robin festival.
The girls were brilliant across all the games today β loads of goals, great teamwork, and plenty of energy πβ½οΈ
The final match against each other was a real highlight, end-to-end stuff with Tup in particular putting in an outstanding performance π₯
Well done everyone, and hopefully the Oranges can forgive me for my dodgy refereeing π
