Operating as usual
Hello everyone.
For those of you not on the Winget Whatsapp site, I am passing on from Steve Phelps, details of Stans funeral.
It may be a while before details are in the local press, so it gives you an early chance to make arrangements if you want to attend.
The service will take place at Gloucester crematorium on Wednesday 13th July, at 12 mid day. Smart casual dress, not particulaly black, but a club tie would be nice if you have one.
Floral tributes will be family only, but any donations will be collected by the funeral director and will be split, as requested by Stan, between cancer research and Lloyd Harrington's youth teams at Gloucester Cricket Club.
I am sure there will be a huge turnout to say farewell to our dear friend, if you are unable to come, let me know and I will give your apologies
Regards to all. Cliff Thomas
It is with the deepest of sadness that we have to have inform you all that our Club President Stanley (Stan) Phelps passed away earlier today.
In his playing days Stan was a talented batsman and when he he retired from playing became one of the very best umpires in the South West of England.
Stan’s wife Eileen scored for many years for us and our thoughts are with Eileen and the family at this time.
Rest in Peace Stan
1st XI 2022 📸🏏
Here are the results from the weekend with there being some really tight games and stand out performances with Sam’s league debut heroics, the Graham family racking up some early season runs and a maiden century for young Ryan in the U15 to name just a few
Back in late 2017 rumour on the street was Tredworth Tigers FC would be removed from The Spa with a change of Administration looming.
Roll on to 2022 and Tredworth Tigers FC are still there, going strong and playing to their potential.
Few games left and all to play for but in their hands to bring Northern Senior League to the Spa.
Not a typical cricket post from us but due to our close ties with Tredworth Tigers FC we are honoured to be able to host this event on the 6th March at The Spa
