Meades was back with lots of smiles, cheers and positive vibes yesterday!

A massive thank you to those who were able to lend a hand Friday to help with the last push to get us ready. The committee has been working on many areas across the club over the summer to build community football, yesterday was a delight to see theirs and many others efforts come together!

⚽ We are really looking forward to starting our home season at Meades on Saturday but there are just a few more jobs that need to be done to be fully ready.

👏Many hands make light work! More numbers at the clubhouse means less ground for each of us to cover. Help us get match-day ready please!

👥 That is where you can help; we are asking you, our Farncombe families, can you spare some time tomorrow, Friday 18th September at either 4:30pm or 6:30pm to finish of these last jobs and help make your club look the best it can and to be pitch ready for the teams on Saturday.

Day 7 - all good things come to an end!

A massive thank you to all involved in enabling this advert to take place.

To our Co-Chair for liaising with Marks and Spencer and getting this partnership for FYFC happening.

To the girls for agreeing to come along and play football, to be interviewed, to sample the food and to simply for being their fabulous selves.

To the coaches and committee members for all the work they did for the event, long before the event even took place and also for the work they did on the day.

And finally to Laura Woods, Sophia Thistlethwaite and all the Marks and Spencer team for making this such an enjoyable event to be part of and especially thank you to Marks and Spencer for their very kind donation (as mentioned in the video) to the club. We hope that we can team up with you again on other adventures.

But for now - that's a wrap!!

Day 5 - it's all about the food and it was so tasty. I believe it was a huge success with everyone who had some (there were even those who went back for seconds as they had been there all day 😉😀).

The girls were served their food by Emma and Sophia and had some time chatting with Laura about football and eating well.

Even the coaches and committee members were able to sample the food and if you see our post tomorrow you will find out how to make it.🥘😋

Day 4 of our look behind the scenes and today is the turn of the reason for creating the advert; to be able to support our FYFC teams. The M&S campaign focussed on our girls' teams.

We were very fortunate to have had girls and their coaches there from age groups Under 8s all the way through to Under 16s. However, we are always looking at ways of increasing our girls' teams so please get in touch at [email protected] for more details.

Day 3 of showing you photos from our brilliant day with M&S; shooting their new Eat Well, Play Well campaign.

One of our committee members, was the representative on screen for the club and she was filmed being interviewed by Laura Woods (a TV Sports Presenter) who got to know more about FYFC and the incredible girls and boys football teams that we have.

She also prepared the food and discussed with M&S's in-house senior nutritionist Sophia, the role of food in eating well to help play well.
