Can I introduce you to my friend and ex work colleague Vanessa Hardy. You might already know Vanessa for her work with horses, but there’s rather more to the picture 👀
Vanessa’s equestrian background has always centred around how horses move, feel and perform.
From coaching and teaching, through running an equine hydrotherapy centre, to her work today in equine bodywork and bit & bridle fitting, she’s spent her career looking at horses from slightly different angles.
That experience has shaped the way she observes a horse — not looking for one thing that’s ‘wrong’, but noticing posture, movement and patterns, and asking how those pieces might connect.
We both come from strong equestrian and coaching backgrounds, but over the years our professional paths have taken us in slightly different directions — mine increasingly towards rider movement and awareness, while Vanessa’s has focused more closely on the horse.
And that’s where things get interesting.
Because horse and rider don’t exist in isolation.
Bring those different perspectives back together and you start to see a much bigger picture…
Something we’re very nearly ready to share. 👀
