Westerley Cycling Club The West London and Chilterns cycling club
Based in West London, we organise rides, races, training and trips for all.

The club offers a weekly club run starting from the Costa coffee in Greenford throughout the year on Sundays, leaving at 8:30am.

🇧🇪 59 segments. 3 days. One Magnificent Seven.

This summer, five Westerlies headed to Belgium to tackle the legendary Flandrien Challenge - 59 cobbled climbs and road sections in under 72 hours.

430 km, almost 5500 m of climbing, slippery cobbles, punctures, questionable supermarket lunches and bikes that looked like they’d been dipped in chocolate.

Joined by two Dutch friends for the final day, the team completed all 59/59 segments and officially earned their place on the Flandrien Wall of Fame! 🏆

Another brilliant Westerley adventure. And apparently, Belgian b**r tastes even better after three days of suffering. 🍻

We’ve got three things happening in the virtual world over the next few months, and there’s something here for everyone — whether you’re a seasoned VR racer or have never pressed the “join event” button before! 👀
🏆 1. WESTERLEY TTTs ARE BACK! 🏆
Our legendary TTTs are making a comeback! 🎉
📍 BikeTerra 🗓 Wednesdays – 6:30pm
These were hugely popular (and successful!) in the past, so we’re bringing them back.
🥇 2. WESTERLEY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 🥇
We’re also kicking off this year’s Westerley Virtual Club Champs — with an actual trophy up for grabs! 🏆😎
📍 BikeTerra 🗓 Mondays – 7pm 📅 5 October → 14 December
We’re piggy-backing onto an existing BikeTerra race series, which means more riders, more racing and more fun, while using the results to run our own Westerley competition.
There are 11 short races (all under 30 mins), with your best 8 results counting towards the championship. So it isn’t simply a case of winning by turning up every week! 😉
🌍 3. TRAININGPEAKS VIRTUAL GRAND TOUR 🌍
Fancy taking on a Grand Tour? 😏
📅 Monday 28 September → Sunday 4 October Seven days. Six challenges/races. 🏔️🚴‍♂️💨
The races run throughout the day, so you can tackle them when it suits you, with a rest day giving you some flexibility if you miss one.

A runner turned duathlete turned increasingly serious cyclist, Liz joined Westerley earlier this year - discovered a passion for time trialling and has since been busy winning races and rewriting the Club record book 👀

Meet in Greenford at the usual Sunday ride time, then we’ll head to Great Missenden for coffee before the hill climb starts at 11am.

Ian recently completed the 600 km Ran Out of Road Audax across Ireland, ticking another bucket-list ride off in the process.

🇪🇸Girona Trip: 5 days, 8 riders, a slightly unreasonable amount of climbing.

Rocacorba, coastal roads, questionable culinary choices and a lot of time spent on two wheels, it was a very Westerley kind of trip.
