After a fun day out last weekend, it’s back to League duty as we face Rossvale Reds YPL on Saturday.

We’ve had two good games against Rossvale this season, who are flying high in second position in the table and with a game in hand.

The girls will need to be at their best to get anything out of the match. We had an in-house mixed friendly last night and a number of the squad got themselves on the scoresheet, so we’re looking for that same threat at the weekend.

The girls had a well earned football break this weekend and replaced it with a team day out to fox lake 🥰 so much fun had by all the girls first had an amazing time on the inflatable water park where there was a lot of flips, face planting and pushing the coaches into the water 😂😂 ( good job they have great upper body strength as it was hard work getting on and off 🥰)
The girls then took part in wakeboarding which from the side didn’t look easy at all but SOME of the girls made it looks really easy 😂😂

The girls had an amazing day and the bus home was certainly very quiet 🥰🥰

🏆 *August Goal of the Month Winner* 🏆

For the second consecutive Goal of the Month, one of our centre backs has stepped up to win the award, as Mollie Jewell’s overhead kick picked up 58% of the vote, collecting 23 votes to take the award for August! 👏

Mollie’s strike was her first goal of the season, and while her pace is normally one of the reasons she stays back on corners, she showed a different side to her game with a controlled finish that wouldn’t have looked out of place from a seasoned striker! ⚽️

*PLAYER OF THE MATCH | AMELIA McLENNAN*

In a game where we didn’t play anywhere near our best, there was no doubting the effort from this week’s Player of the Match, as Amelia McLennan picked up 7 votes. 👏

Amelia showed again why she’s consistently picking up votes by working hard, making tackles and blocks, winning her headers and looking to break forward whenever she could.

These are the basics of football, but doing them consistently and to a high standard is a skill in itself — and Amelia does exactly that.

We didn’t create many chances, but Amelia got her head on two corners which, on another day and with a slightly cleaner connection, could easily have seen her get on the scoresheet.
