A huge thank you to everyone who came along to Gig on the Green yesterday and supported the event.

The forecast leading into the event had certainly given us cause for concern. However, despite a couple of rainy spells, we were mainly dry, allowing so many people to come along and enjoy the day.

To the bands, sound engineers, security and vendors, we really appreciate everything you did to help the day run so smoothly. And thanks once again to Calum Rennie for his work on the mic.

We’d also like to recognise all our volunteers, whose hard work before, during and after the event simply cannot be understated. A particularly special mention must go to Colin McCahill and Iain Robertson. Without the huge amount of time, effort and organisation you put in, yesterday simply would not have gone ahead.

It wasn’t quite the weather we would have ordered, but you still came, supported us and hopefully had a great afternoon.

Strong performance retains Greenock CC place in WDCU Prem2

It is with great sadness that Greenock Cricket Club marks the passing of Brian Lang, Honorary Vice-President and a much-loved and respected member of the Club for many years.

Brian enjoyed an outstanding 1st XI career between 1960 and 1976, during which he amassed 4,606 runs and claimed 117 catches. He also had the honour of captaining the side during part of the 1970 season, and again in 1973 and 1974.

Brian’s connection with the Club never faded. He continued to take a keen interest in its fortunes and would regularly return to Glenpark whenever his health allowed.

Brian faced significant ill-health in his later years with remarkable courage and dignity. His warmth, character and good humour remained with him to the end.

He was, quite simply, one of life’s good people and his passing will be deeply felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with Lynn and all of Brian’s family and friends at this very difficult time.

Funeral arrangements will be shared with members when they are available.

For over 160 years, our club has served the people of Inverclyde. Now, we have an incredible opportunity to secure £40,000 of pledged funding from British Gas, but we can only unlock it if our community helps us raise £20,000 through our Crowdfunder.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Emmie's winning flag now flying proudly at Glenpark!

Earlier this year, as part of the launch of our Greenock Titans junior section, we invited local primary school pupils to design a flag as part of a competition.

We're delighted to reveal the winning design, created by Emmie (P4a) from Ardgowan Primary School, which has now been produced and is flying proudly at the club.

A huge congratulations to Emmie, and thank you to everyone who took part in the competition. It's fantastic to see our youngest supporters helping shape the future of Greenock Cricket Club.

We hope everyone enjoys spotting the Greenock Titans flag whenever they visit Glenpark!

🏏 FREE GREENOCK TITANS TRY CRICKET MORNING 🏏

Looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend?

The Greenock Titans are inviting boys and girls aged 5+ to a FREE Try Cricket Morning at Greenock Cricket Club.

Whether your child has never picked up a bat before or already loves sport, everyone is welcome!

✅ BBQ & refreshments available
✅ Parents welcome to stay

🎥 A professional film crew will also be at the club as part of Greenock Cricket Club's British Gas Energy for Tomorrow grant and Crowdfunder campaign, capturing the fantastic work taking place in our junior section. Children taking part may appear in the promotional footage.

Bring trainers and plenty of enthusiasm, we'll provide everything else!

Our 1st XI will take on Dumfries in the WDCU Premiership 2 from noon. Be sure to stay for the afternoon and watch some live cricket.
