We're delighted to see the Greenock Telegraph supporting our successful Energy for Tomorrow application.
Being selected by British Gas is a significant milestone for the club and gives us the opportunity to deliver a transformational £60,000 sustainability project that will improve the long-term future of Greenock Cricket Club and reduce our environmental impact.
The hard work starts now.
Over the coming months we'll be building our crowdfunding campaign and engaging with members, supporters, sponsors and the wider community to raise £20,000, which will be matched by British Gas with a further £40,000 of funding.
This is a huge opportunity for the club and one that will require a genuine collective effort from the entire Greenock Cricket Club community.

The 2026 league season gets underway this Saturday as our 1st XI travel to face Langside at Albert Park.
Captain A***n Sanghera leads the side again this year and is confident heading into the new campaign. He’ll be backed by overseas amateurs Adam McGuirk and Toby Matthews, both key with the bat, with Matthews also bringing a dangerous off-spin option while McGuirk will be a key figure behind the stumps.

Dymensha are no longer able to play this Sunday, but we’re really pleased that Vinyl have stepped in and will now be closing the event.
Expect plenty of well-known favourites, perfect for a relaxed afternoon outdoors.
Add in friends and family, something cold to drink, and a bank holiday Monday, and it’s all set up nicely.
Come down, find a spot, and make an afternoon of it.
