Back to back friendlies, we go again tonight at The Legion in Healing this evening!

We are most certainly the underdogs today but we play our best!

Evening All,

Well… what a game it was today!

We came into this game with all the lads insisting it’s going to be an easy ride! I had to tell them to take a reign check and work for the result. We started the game strong, for the first 20 minutes they had been in our half, once!! We got a goal but very easily conceded! We managed to get back to being in front, going into the half way point winning 3-1.

Our half time team talk was, we are better than this, we need to play as a team. Trust eachother with the long passes and be able to trust ourselves by taking players on and take the shot! We also switched the formation and what a difference this made.

The second half, we scored! In fact, we scored 12 goals!!! Everyone put a shift in, everyone worked for it and I could have picked loads of players as man of the match today!

Farai… what a captain today! Vocally, physically and as always! His performance was all outstanding!

The one person who stood out today was Alfie! He worked his arse off! And when that goal came for him (half volley, might I say!) well I think everyone was there emotionally with him!

If one thing to take away from this today is, we aren’t the strongest team, we are going to take some defeats, but if we can play like we did today, we can beat anyone! Louth have played some good times… not one of those teams have scored more than us! We deserved every single goal today!
