Well how to sum up day two 😂after a late night playing bingo, dancing and pool sessions in the hotel the boys where up and ready for day two, first game can only be described as absolute chaos ! It had it all, some half decent football occasionally, some late tackles, some even later kick outs, a very good diving header a few pushes and shoves and just a sprinkling of red cards 😂 not the usual kind of game we are involved in but the boys showed what it means to be part of a team, that they have each others backs and that they won’t be bullied off a pitch 💪
Game two had us face the best grassroots team we’ve ever seen play, a team from South Shields that had links with Newcastle and Sunderland academies, the whole set up of coaches, parents and players where a credit to there team ! Rangers boys held there own and even after the loss didn’t let there heads drop, the boys had already done enough to qualify for the champions league AGAIN 💪
Quarter final saw us play a team from Ireland that knocked us out last year on penalties.
They’d took maximum points from there group stages but rangers didn’t let them play at all, our boys controlled the game and after scoring a wonder goal never looked like losing it. Next was semi final, and after a slight mix up we ended up playing South Shields again, not for a second did the boys give up on it or doubt themselves, even after seeing how good they where the boys battled and matched them a few wonder saves from our keeper and the game finished all square, onto the dreaded penalties and it was just not meant to be 💔

The boys came home with coaches and parents so immensely proud of them, not only did they show what a fantastic team of players they are to reach the last 4 in the champions league portion of a national tournament that celebrated its 40th year this year, but we just had a fantastic weekend with this great group of kids, parents and grandparents.
Memories made that will last a life time for them (and us) the boys where even praised from the hotel with how well behaved and polite they where and what a pleasure it was to have them, as you can imagine 13 boys aged from 6-13 that’s some compliment 😂 parents you should be incredibly proud of those young boys they are a credit to you all !
are they perfect ?
Absolutely not 😂
would I change them ?
Not in a million years !

Big news for the rangers boys !
They are going international !
Next May the boys are touring Barcelona against local Spanish teams, training at uefa-approved facilities and a session with espanyol coaches!
Couldn’t pick a more dedicated group of boys that deserve this !
Obviously with this kind of trip comes the fund raising part of it, and we have lots in the pipeline.
We are looking for local businesses to help us at our race night.
The boys will be doing a sponsored car wash over the summer holidays.
We will be doing a World Cup sweep stake very soon.

for all of our mighty mariners fans we have a raffle ticket draw you won’t want to miss !
