A tough start for the girls next month but we cannot wait to make the step up and get started!⚽️👊🏻

We would like to welcome our new signing Emily Ellis, after playing against Emily last season we already knew how talented she was and when we found out she wanted to come down training for us we knew that we wanted to sign her straight away⚽️

Throughout preseason she has already shown her quality’s what she will bring to the team, strong, box to box midfielder who has a great eye for a pass and a brilliant long distance shooter, the coaches are excited to see what Emily will bring to the team and we think she will play a very important part this season and has the ability to thrive in the jpl league with us👏🏻⚽️

🔵We would like to welcome our 3rd recruit of the summer Isla Lovesey, she is making the step up this season by leaving her own age group and playing a year up like our other younger one Imogen💪🏻✨

An outstanding defender with all the right attributes, pace, excellent reading of the game and will bring great composure and calmness to our backline. These past 6 weeks she has shown to the coaches that she is more than capable of stepping upto the jpl league with us, impressing in training and putting in some great performances against some top opposition⚽️

We would like to introduce everyone to Millie Squire, a top goalkeeper and a brilliant addition to the squad!
After a few training sessions we knew straight away what quality millie could offer the team🥅

Now with 2 excellent and experienced goalkeepers in our team we are hoping Millie and Kristina will push each other to the maximum bringing out the best in each other, which is already starting to show⚽️💪🏻

Firstly we would like to welcome Millie Bevis to the blues ready for the upcoming season, over the years we have competed against Millie and we are delighted to have her on our side now!
Strong midfielder who likes to get stuck in and win her battles for the team,giving us that extra strength in the middle showing she is more than capable of stepping upto the jpl league with us

Welcome Millie⚽️🔵

⚽️Yesterday we had a pre season friendly against a top Afc Grimsby U15’s side.
In difficult hot temperatures the game was very evenly matched.

Midway through the first half we started getting on top by playing our passing football which created the opening for us, a lovely worked move sore the ball land to poppy in the box which she nicely put away past the goalkeeper.
2nd half again very evenly matched, although the final 15 minutes afc was putting us under a lot of pressure pushing for the equaliser, but our back 4 and goalkeeper’s held on brilliantly getting us over the line with a well deserved 1-0 win, every girl in the team all played there part in that game, showing team spirit, fight, quality and determination 👏🏻🔵

Special mention to one of our new recruits Emily Ellis who put in a player of the match performance, an outstanding display of quality in the centre midfield role,box to box,dominating the ball, winning all her battles and showing her great passing ability throughout the game ⭐️

The girls now have a well deserved little break and will return on the 15th of august for another friendly against Barnsley⚽️

People who have donated so far everyone at Grimsby borough blue really appreciate’s it, all funds donated will go towards the girls, fun days out, training equipment, local tournaments, possible tournaments abroad, running a football team can we very expensive and we couldn’t do this without everybody’s kind donations so thank you🫶🏻⚽️🔵

The girls finished the summer picking up 5 trophies all together, amazing achievement by them all and some great memories to last a lifetime🫶🏻👏🏻⚽️
