Result-
Grimsby Borough 1- 5 TM Development
A tough afternoon for the girls today as they played their first league game of the season- against one of the strongest sides in the league. Despite the result, there are plenty of positives to take, with another noticeable improvement in performance and attitude.
A special mention goes to Amelia Steel, who scored our first-ever goal in the JPL League! ⚽🎉
It was a great ball lofted over the top from Poppy and Amelia showed her pace and determination to get hold of the ball and calmly finish it in the bottom corner 👏🏻 A fantastic reward for all the hard work and effort she has put in over the past few weeks. She thoroughly deserves the moment, and hopefully it’s the first of many!
There is still plenty for us to improve on, and we know there’s lots of hard work ahead on the training pitch. But the girls continue to show progress, determination and a great willingness to learn.
Us coaches believe we are more than capable of competing in this league and results will soon come💪🏻
Keep working, keep improving and keep believing! 💪⚽❤️
Coaches players- Natalia and Isla
A fantastic performance from Natalia today! ⚽
She showed great determination and effort on the wing, but when the team needed her to step into a different role at full-back, she took on the challenge brilliantly 👏🏼
Natalia worked hard throughout, defended strongly and gave everything for the team. Playing in a position she isn’t used to, she showed great attitude and adaptability — she should be incredibly proud of herself! ❤️
Great performance from Isla today! ⚽
Isla read the danger brilliantly throughout the game, showing great awareness, composure and quality when her team needed her 👏🏼
She has put in some really strong performances over the past few weeks, and once again today she continued that form and showed exactly what she is capable of ❤️
Parents player- Amelia
Not only did Amelia score our first-ever goal in the JPL League, but she also put in another fantastic performance in a new role this season 👏🏼
She has been improving game by game, showing great determination, effort and great attitude to learning. Today was a brilliant reward for all the hard work she has been putting in ❤️
