Stop scrolling for a second — this actually matters…

No one realises what’s inside this building.

Victoria Mills isn’t just an empty shell. It’s part of Grimsby’s story — generations worked here, built livelihoods here, and shaped the town we see today.

Right now, it sits silent. But buildings like this don’t survive on their own.

This week, we started digitally recording it in full 3D — capturing every detail, every structure, every piece of history — so it’s properly understood before anything changes.

This isn’t about tearing something down. It’s about understanding it… protecting it… and exploring what it could become next.

What if this space could serve the community again?

Not just as a memory — but as something alive.

This is the start of that process.

Take a proper look — then tell me… what should this building become? 👇

Today we got inside Victoria Mills and properly looked at what this space could become.

It’s hard to explain just how big it is until you’re standing in it.

We had some really positive conversations with the right people around the table, including the council, architects and potential partners like Abstract Circus CIC

Also great to see the Ice Factory Trust in attendance, always good to learn from projects already making things happen in Grimsby.

It’s early stages, but this felt like a big step forward.

Something special could happen here.

A quiet update from behind the scenes at Victoria Mills.

Over the past few months we have been carrying out research, feasibility work, and submitting major grant applications to explore a long-term, heritage-led future for this historic Grimsby landmark.

The Crux Grimsby Climbing & Heritage CIC is now officially registered, marking an important step in building a credible, community-focused organisation to guide the project responsibly.

This is a complex listed building and any future plans must be handled with care, respect, and proper heritage consideration.

Thank you to everyone in the community who continues to support, follow, and engage with the journey so far.
