WE DID IT !!! Completed our first triathlon on Saturday 21/07/28 .....
The is a fabulous organisation who host in the grounds of - we chose for our very first triathlon, & it was nice to ‘endure’ the event in such stunning surroundings ...... the beauty diluted the pain, of the (a little) 🏊‍♂️ 🚲 🏃🏽‍♀️ !! A year ago, our beautiful friend Cheryl, told us she had with a limited life expectancy 😥The last 12 months have been a rollercoaster of emotions for all who know her .... so much shock, anger, sadness & fear BUT during this time we have learned to realise what matters, pulled together, & done things to show her how much we love her 💓 One of those things was to enter a triathlon (a team full of complete novices at such a hideous thing) but we did it !! We have created this ‘treats fund' called & the first fundraiser was said triathlon ! Every penny raised has gone towards for Cheryl & her family. It is not a registered charity where funds go to research & management funds, THIS is purely to help Cheryl's family tick some things off their bucket list, while they can 😊 So far it has funded one of their trips to in June, a much needed at a in August & the next trip is chosen, but yet to be revealed 😱It is so nice to see the difference these trips make to a family with so much worry, and we will continue to raise money for these happy times as long as we can. HUGE thanks to all who have donated so far, you have been very generous.
