Most people think the body is held together by stacked bones and isolated muscles.
Modern fascia research suggests something very different: the body functions as a continuous tension network. This concept is known as tensegrity.

Fascia is one of those things everyone has, but almost no one really understands. It’s not just “connective tissue” - it’s the system that links everything together, shapes how you move, how you feel, and even how you experience stiffness or pain.
These slides break it down visually so it actually makes sense.
Have a look, and you might start seeing your body a bit differently.
You already know fascia is important.
But there’s a bit more to it than most people realise.
It’s constantly sensing what’s going on in your body and helping everything move smoothly — or not, if things start to get stuck
Most people think the body works as a collection of separate muscles, but that picture is starting to fall apart. There’s a deeper system running the show, and it changes how we understand movement, tension, and even pain.
In this video, I’ll break down what fascia actually is, why it matters more than most people realise, and how it might explain why your body feels the way it does.

Hi everyone. I'm doing a charity bootcamp on Sunday in Ravenscourt Park at 12pm with help from Helena and Amanda. If you're around please come and join us for a 60 minute functional training class. It's £10 per session and all the money goes to ALK (https://www.alkpositive.org.uk). The charity’s aim is to raise awareness about ALK positive lung cancer which accounts for 3-6% of lung cancers and often affects a younger age group and people who don’t or have never smoked. They offer support and guidance to patients and their carers and advocate for the best treatments to be made available to all of us in the U.K.
