The 5K Your Way, Move Against Cancer blue flag will be flying on Saturday 25th April at Harrogate parkrun.

🔷 We are a free cancer support group for anyone impacted by cancer
🔷 Walk, run, cheer, volunteer and share peer support with the cancer and parkrun community (there are over 120 groups at designated parkruns nationwide, meeting on the last Saturday of each month)
🙌🏻 Everyone is welcome! People living with and beyond cancer, carers, friends and family including children, health care professionals
⏰ Meet by our 5K Your Way banner near the finish area at 8:45am ready for a 9am start

The last Saturday of the month is upon us this week so our Harrogate 5K Your Way, Move Against Cancer ambassadors
will be at Harrogate parkrun on Saturday 28th March to greet, chat, walk (possibly walk/ run) with anyone affected by cancer. Look out for us in our 5K Your Way. Move Against Cancer hoodies, we’ll be at our banner
close to the finish area from 8.45am

What a truly wonderful, but drizzly morning we had at the February 5K Your Way. Move Against Cancer event at Harrogate parkrun. We welcomed John and Sue who both walked this morning, and congratulations John on your first ever parkrun. We also met Joy from Kirk Harle parkrun up in Northumberland….she’s keen to set up the event there so it was great to share our experience with her. Looking forward to the March event when hopefully the weather may be a little brighter ☀️ 🌷

This Saturday (28th) is the 5K Your Way. Move Against Cancer event at Harrogate parkrun. Pop along to see one of our friendly team for a chat and a walk, run or gentle jog around the stray. Unfortunately our ambassadors can’t be at this Saturday’s parkrun for a the 5K Your Way. Move Against Cancer meet up due to work and other commitments. But don’t let that stop you though getting in some steps at Parkrun or elsewhere!

Sadly the November 5K Your Way Move Against Cancer event at Harrogate parkrun next Saturday [29th Nov] will not be going ahead due to family and work commitments with our regular ambassador team!! But we will be back on Saturday 27th December to help anyone work off the turkey, mulled wine and mince pies 🥧

We had a lovely run round the Stray at Harrogate parkrun on Saturday, the weather was chilly but the ☀️ shone for us. Great to see David running so well and preparing once again to take on the Abbey Dash in November! Our next meet will be on Saturday 30th November. Our 5K Your Way meet up is back at Harrogate parkrun on Saturday (27th September).

5K Your Way, Move Against Cancer is a community-based initiative to encourage those living with and beyond cancer, those supporting loved ones through cancer and health care professionals working in cancer services, to walk, jog, run, cheer or volunteer at 5K Your Way parkrun events on the last Saturday of the month.

Join our ambassadors to walk or jog some or all of the 5K course or come to say ‘hello’ before running the course at your own pace.

Sadly our Harrogate 5K Your Way, Move Against Cancer ambassadors can’t make this Saturday’s event due to injury, working commitments and summer holidays, but we promise to be back for the September meet ready to run/jog/walk Harrogate parkrun with anyone who would like to take part Active Against Cancer
