We're taking over the whole square for a day of free family-friendly chess activities.
Many of the UK’s top chess players will be joining us for the day. Already confirmed are England’s top player, Grandmaster Nikita Vitiugov, British Champions, Grandmasters Mickey Adams, Matthew Sadler, and Chris Ward, as well as British Women's’ Champion, International Master Harriet Hunt.

𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
* Simultaneous games against the top Grandmasters in the country
* Free chess lessons for children and adults from professional chess teachers and top UK players
* 10 giant chess sets for people to play on
* 100s of chess tables for children and chess fans to play with each other
* Challenge a Chess Master at speed chess
* See our actors replay famous games of chess on our living chessboard
* ChessKid aficionados will be able to meet FunMaster Mike Klein, star of the online platform's excellent videos who will be taking part in the festivities
* Blindfold Chess exhibition match
* Giant speed chess display. Watch two masters battle it out in a test of speed and strength.
* A truly giant screen (12 x 7m) broadcasting all the action from the square!
* Live link-ups and challenge matches with ChessFest Hull

Harrow Chess Club reopens this Thursday, 07-Sep-2023, with a special event in support of She Plays To Win. SPTW is a non-profit initiative run by IM Lorin D'Costa which aims to bring more girls into chess.

Junior Blitz and Hillingdon & District League chess matches at Harrow Chess Club, Thursday, 18-May-2023

UK Chess Challenge 2023. Congrats to Harrow's Xiling Wang on winning the Bucks U10 Megafinal with a maximum 6 points. He now qualifies for the Southern Gigafinal at Sandown Park in July.
