🇬🇧 Planking can be an incredible exercise to engage your core. - but for how long should you have to hold the muscle-blasting to be effective?

According to Professor and Spine Specialist, Stuart McGill PhD, the answer is just 10seconds. McGill said “There’s no utility to this kind of activity other than claiming a record.”
Many Trainers around the world aren’t agree!
Despite the varying opinions, most agree that the most important part of planking comes down to form. As long as your back isn’t sagging, which can put a lot of pressure and stress on your disks and joints, a Plank will engage your muscles.

For me, as a Personal Trainer and Spine Injuries Prevention Specialist, Plank is an exercise that I often see people doing incorrectly in the gym.

• Never skip 3 days in the gym.
• Do your workout at least 3 days/week.
• Don’t skip Monday’s.
• NEVER give up if you fail.

• Nunca falhes 3 dias ao ginásio.
• Treina pelo menos 3 dias/semana.
• Nunca falhes uma segunda-feira.
• Nunca desistas se falhares.
