Let’s Get Jiu-Jitsu!
We are often asked if wearing a gi (kimono) is essential for the class?
Well, the gi helps to retain the integrity of the art. Wearing the gi shows knowledge and respect for the history, culture and origin of the art.
For the first session any comfortable sports shorts or jogging pants and t-shirt with short or long sleeves will be perfect. Once your child and you've decided that BJJ is something you would like to to take onboard - then get your child a good gi of any color of his/her choice! (white belt for novices please)
And always have a bottle of water with you.
Bring your child to any of our sessions and see for yourself what it is all about. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Please meet our coach - Jack “The Mad Hatter” Magee.
Jack is a well respected Black Belt under Roberto “Gordo” Correa, a Gi and NoGi competitor and accomplished ex-Pro MMA fighter. Jack has trained and competed across the globe and has a wealth of experience and knowledge which he now passes to his students at “Mad Hatters Asylum” in Chichester. We are very excited to have Jack to come and teach youngsters in Haslemere.

We are pleased to announce the launch of BJJ classes for children at the convenient and airy Haslemere Leisure Centre.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an all-round workout for children, helping them to develop flexibility, endurance, strength and self-control, teaching them self-defence techniques and discipline.
Between October and December 2022 we will be holding 2 sessions every Thursday for children aged 4 to 7 years. We will be looking to add sessions for older age groups for children and an adult group in 2023.
