Another brilliant week of goalkeeper development across Quick Goalkeeper Coaching, with our goalkeepers continuing to Develop. Compete. Enjoy. 🔥

🎯 This week’s focus: Mid Height Dives, with a sub focus on angles.

Throughout the sessions, we worked on recognising angles, getting into effective set positions and selecting the correct technique when making mid height saves.

📝🔭 WHAT’S QU**KY BEEN UP TO? 🔭📝

I’ve recently been up at Home Park completing an in house scouting and Talent ID course with Plymouth Argyle.

Places on the course were limited, so I’m extremely grateful to Argyle for giving me the opportunity to take part and continue developing another side of my coaching role 🧤 ❤️

The biggest benefit is being able to put that knowledge directly into practice within the Plymouth Argyle Academy goalkeeper sessions I deliver, helping me assess and support the goalkeepers already within the programme while also identifying those at our Elite Hubs, Development Centres or beyond who may be ready and deserving of the next step ⭐️

For me, it’s another important part of continuing to develop as a coach. Coaching the goalkeeper in front of you is one thing, but understanding potential, recognising the qualities required at different levels and knowing when a goalkeeper is ready to be challenged further is just as important. 🤝

Another brilliant week of goalkeeper development at Quick Goalkeeper Coaching Truro, with our goalkeepers continuing to Develop. Compete. Enjoy. 🔥

🎯 This week’s focus: Low Diving

This week we moved into our diving block, focusing on low diving with a sub focus on the footwork needed to get into the best possible position to make the save.

Throughout the session, we introduced, explored and refined our low diving technique, giving our goalkeepers plenty of opportunities to learn, problem solve and put their understanding into practice.

🌟 Our Kaptain Keepers:
7–10 age group: Reed
11–15 age group: Charlotte

Reed and Charlotte really impressed with their bravery, focus and consistency, working hard to refine their footwork and low diving technique throughout the session.
