'Discrimination' & 'a kick in the teeth' 19/06/2020

US Open is going ahead, but no wheelchair tennis.

Make and female able bodied players were consulted about going ahead, wheelchair tennis players were not.

We are treating any group of people as second class citizens if we are making decisions for them and not consulting them.

By the time the wheelchair competitions kick in, the number of players at tournament has dropped substantially so it’s nothing to do with player numbers it’s just not taking wheelchair players seriously.

Credit to Andy Murray for supporting wheelchair players, I believe all competitors at US Open should say we’re not playing, unless everyone is allowed to play.

'Discrimination' & 'a kick in the teeth' Britain's quad world number two Andy Lapthorne criticises the US Open for its "discrimination" in omitting wheelchair competitions this year.

Blog: "Exercising makes me feel happy" 22/12/2018

Neal plays lots of sports, we're lucky enough to see him at tennis every week, always has a smile on his face, loves being on the tennis court.

Neal playing tennis is not only important for his well being, its important for ours, its hard not to enjoy an hour with someone who always smiles, never complains, always tries their best.

So thank you Neal for playing tennis with us, but also thank you Mum Parul for supporting Neals'sports that he so enjoys and benefit his wellbeing.

Blog: "Exercising makes me feel happy" Throughout 2018 Activity Alliance has been posting blogs from active disabled people. In our last post of 2018 we hear from Neal.
