Are you heading to the ROCP Conference next week?
I'll be in the PULLMAN HOTEL bar (right next to the exhibition centre) at 6pm on the Thursday evening. Come along to...
⚡️ Ask me anything about starting or growing a new Podiatry practice, whether you plans are already underway or you're just thinking about private practice.
⚡️ Bring me your challenges and let's see if we can start to overcome them.
⚡️ Meet others in the same boat and start building a support network for one another
Starting out in private practice is daunting, but you needn't travel the path alone. Over the years i've run a doms business, a home based business, and a city centre practice, growing all the time. So there isn't much I don't know about those first few years in practice and how to grow from scratch to meet your goals.
It's not often we get chance to meet up in person and share our knowledge and I'd love to say hello, so please do come along...
PULLMAN HOTEL 6PM THURSDAY 23RD NOVEMBER.

👣 Setting the Right Prices from Day 1: A Key to Success in Podiatry Practice 👣
As a mentor to new podiatry practice owners, I often stress the importance of setting meaningful prices from the very beginning. Your pricing strategy can significantly impact your practice's growth and sustainability. Here are a few tips to consider:
1️⃣ Know Your Costs: Calculate all your overhead expenses, including rent, utilities, equipment, and staff salaries if relevant. Understanding your costs is crucial for determining a baseline for your pricing.
2️⃣ Market Research: Research what other podiatrists in your area are charging for similar services. This will give you a competitive benchmark to work with, but do not allow this to sway you too much. Your prices should reflect your expenses and services, not those of your colleague down the road!
3️⃣ Value-Based Pricing: Consider the value you provide to your patients. Are you offering specialised treatments or exceptional patient care? Your prices should reflect the quality of your services.
4️⃣ Pricing Transparency: Be transparent with your patients about your pricing. This builds trust and helps patients make informed decisions. But be thoughtful about what stage you share your prices. If you share too soon, on the front page of your website, this may put patients off before they've had chance to learn about the value behind your services.
Remember, your pricing strategy should align with your long-term goals and the unique value you bring to your patients.
Setting meaningful prices from day one is a foundation for a successful podiatry practice, but it can be one of the hardest things to do. If you need more guidance, book a call with me. I help Podiatrists to plan, launch and grow their first Podiatry practice.

🚀 The 3 Pillars of a Successful Podiatry Practice 🚀
Hello to all podiatrists interested in starting a Private Practice! 🦶
Setting up a podiatry practice is about more than just finding a space and seeing patients. It’s about creating a business that thrives, enriches your life, and serves your patients exceptionally well. Here are the three foundational pillars to consider:
>>> Patient-Centric Approach:
It's not just about treating feet, it's about understanding the person attached to them. Offering personalized care, active listening, and a carefully designed care plan can set you apart. Communicating well both in person, on the phone and by email, so that your patients are wowed with every contact.
>>>Effective Marketing & Branding:
Your brand speaks volumes. From your logo to your patient testimonials, every detail matters. Leverage social media, engage with your community, and showcase what makes your practice unique. Ensure your brand voice is consistent and wows every time. Don't know what brand voice is? It's an incredibly powerful tool for communicating with your patients at all levels. Give me a shout if you'd like to understand more about how Podiatry Practice owners can use it to build the dream.
>>>Operational Excellence:
Streamline your appointment process, invest in efficient software, and train yourself and your team if you have one, to offer consistent and superior service. A smooth-running practice translates to happy patients.
Starting a practice is a journey, and like all journeys, it's easier with a guide. Whether you're struggling with the business side or just need clarity on your vision, remember you're not alone.

Building a Podiatry Practice?! Let's talk about your Digital Presence 🌐
It’s the digital age. Before a patient steps into your clinic, they’ve likely “met” you online. Your website isn't just a digital address; it's your online consulting room. It the place your patients begin to get to know you and your approach to care. You website must be professional, user-friendly, and informative, but it should also show you patients who you are and what you practice stands for.
But it doesn't stop there. Engaging with potential patients via social media, sharing insights, health tips, and patient testimonials, offers another window into what an appointment with you might be like. It gives potential patients a way of assessing whether the values of you practice match their expectations. So when you share posts, ensure the messaging in both wording, graphics and images is in line with your values and vision.
Consider a blog where you address common podiatric concerns, dispelling myths and offering advice. This can be a particularly useful way of connecting to a particular community, for example the running community and can be used to build relationships with local running clubs, by offering a valuable resource to their members. Don't let blogs sit forgotten on your website, share them with the intended audience.
A strong digital presence not only showcases your expertise, but also builds trust even before the first consultation and calls to your ideal patient. Remember, in the online world, your digital handshake is as crucial as the real one! 💻
