🦸‍♂️ WE’RE ON A MISSION…

A mission to get more boys dancing!

Because did you know that some of the world’s biggest superheroes are also trained dancers and performers? 👀

Okay… maybe Spider-Man, Batman and Wolverine haven’t actually been spotted at the studio yet. BUT- Tom Holland, Christian Bale and “The Greatest Showman” Hugh Jackman have!

They all have the qualities that make a great superhero— confidence, strength, discipline, focus, creativity, teamwork and courage— and they are qualities that dancing can help develop!

And in today’s world, we think boys deserve a space where they can simply be themselves, try something new, make friends, express themselves and grow in confidence without worrying about whether something is “for boys” or “for girls”.

Ballroom dancing gives them a chance to move, perform, challenge themselves and discover something they might absolutely LOVE.

So we’re starting a brand new Ballroom Boys class at EDC. 💙💛

No pressure. No expectation to be perfect. Just music, movement, fun and a whole lot of dancing.

Let’s get boys moving. Let’s get them dancing. Let’s see what they can become 💪🏼🏆

✨ WHAT A DAY! ✨

What a wonderful day we had in Ipswich yesterday! 💙💛

24 of our club members took part in the first Medalist of the Year Qualifier event for Blackpool 2027 — and what a day we had!

Congratulations to the NATD Anglian Area Committee on another fantastic event. Fantastic judges, great music and a really well-run competition made for a brilliant Sunday! 👏🏼

We had our most successful qualifier event to date, and it’s so exciting to see the hard work happening in the studio really paying off on the competition floors. We couldn’t be prouder of our dancers and everything they achieved yesterday. 🏆

✨ OUR RESULTS ✨

🥇 33 × 1st places
🥈 18 × 2nd places
🥉 15 × 3rd places
⭐ 15 × 4th–9th placings
⭐ 10 × Semi Finalists
⭐ 3 × Quarter Finalists

And, most importantly, all 24 of our dancers who competed yesterday have now qualified for Blackpool MOY 2027! 🖤💛

A huge congratulations to Alysha and Lottie on bringing the Juvenile and Junior Cups back to EDC for the third consecutive year! 🏆🏆 What an achievement!

And a very special shoutout to our juvenile girls Sophie, Ivy, Lottie, Matilda and Bella, who took all five final placings in the Solo Juvenile Jive! 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼

Girl power to the max! 👑

Finally, a huge thank you to Janine, Rianna and Hannah for partnering all day. We really couldn’t do these events without your hard work, dedication and commitment — and we are so grateful for everything you do for our dancers. ❤️

A weekend off the comp floor now… but the hard work continues!💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

✨ STRICTLY IS COMING BACK… SO WHY NOT JOIN US ON THE DANCE FLOOR? ✨

The weather has turned now so that means the sequins are coming out, the fake tan is marinating and the countdown to Strictly Come Dancing is officially ON! 💃🕺

And if watching the celebs twirl round doing a Waltz, Cha Cha, Foxtrot or even a Jive has you thinking “I’d love to have a go…” — this is your sign!

Our Adults ‘First Steps’ Ballroom & Latin Beginners class is designed for complete beginners, or anyone who fancies getting back to basics in a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment.

Over this course, we’ll be getting to grips with Waltz & Cha Cha, building your confidence, learning the fundamentals and, most importantly, having a blooming good time doing it! 😂

And you don’t need to turn up looking like a Strictly professional either — no partner, no experience and no fancy footwork required. Just bring yourself and we’ll take care of the rest. ❤️

📍 Great Wakering Memorial Hall
🕑 Tuesdays | 2–3pm
