From time to time the wonderful .bekahellis comes and shoots our track sessions.

We always like an SRC on tour.
Helen and Steve are out and about in Skiathos.

The weather was spot on for track night, and a lovely bunch got involved.
The session was:
Warm up. 90 on, 90 off x 5. 60 on, 60 off x 5. 30 on, 30 off x 5. 15 on, 15 off x 5. Warm down.
Lovely.

It’s a weekend roundup after a busy weekend for SRC.
First up, Friday night track where Mark gave us some 3’s and 30’s to get the heart rate up and the legs moving.
Next, Lewis ran the Blackpool Lights 10k and broke 45 mins.
Tom was racing too, smashing out Newark Half in 1:33.
Chris, Ezra, Jacob and Steve ran to Birmingham to watch the European Championships marathon, Adrian ran with them but wasn’t picture has he had another 26 (no, that’s not a typo) extra miles to do.
And finally, Paul and Tim were out for the traditional 8:30am social run.
A cracking weekend all round I reckon.

The last of this years midweeks series took us to Clent for some hills and an eclipse.
Final series results are TBC, but it looks like another strong showing for SRC across the board.
Thanks to everyone who helps out the series on.

It doesn’t get much better than a summer Sunday run. Dry trails and beautiful scenery were on the agenda for both Steve and Tim’s groups.

Coach Mark brought a double pyramid to the track with 2x 30/60/90/120/120/90/60/30 (1min rest). Really enjoyed session in the summer sun that even made Brierley Hill look good.

Massive turnout for the last race of the Black Country Run series, which took us to Dudley Zoo for a brutally hilly 5k.
The series has been a brilliant addition to the summer calendar and we look forward to it returning next year. Thanks to the good folk of Tipton Harriers for making it happen.

Nikki’s last dance.
A beautiful Monday night in the field as we waved goodbye to Nikki who returns to America later this week.
We’ll miss her.

And it was also Nikki’s last Sunday run before she leaves the area.
