Derby Day Squad.. this is how we line up as the boys are Away to High Wycombe Eagles CC

First game was a tough one on the chin. Captain Adnan won the toss and put the boys into bat first on a warm day at Oxford and Bletchington CC. What became a very tricky track with various bounce. A fiery start got everyone excited. With Kashif stealing the show with the bat on debut, playing beautiful shots around the ground. Slough Tigers bowlers slowed it down on both ends bringing the spinners on and limiting the PCC boys to 180, which seemed to be a very good score on the pitch. Second innings commenced and the Slough Tigers opener Mujahid Raza came out guns blazing. The boys showed a lot of fight and there was brilliant fielding on displaying with Nomi diving around and being a greater wall than Sommer against Barcelona. Despite the efforts, and late fight, the total wasn’t a problem for Slough Tigers. Morale is still high and the boys are confident to bounce back as we go away to local rivals High Wycombe Eagles CC. This will be a huge grudge match for some of the boys as we look to shoot the Eagle down but more importantly get to winning ways.

We kick off our 2025 campaign against Slough Tigers at Oxford and Bletchington Cricket Club. inshaAllah we bring the win back to Wycombe as the team lines up with a mix of talented youngsters and experienced veterans. Club debuts for Ismail Afsar and Kashif Sheikh. Good luck boys!
