Our off rink sessions come to a close today, which can only mean one thing… NEXT WEEK WE GET TO LACE UP OUR SKATES AGAIN! 🛼

It’s been lovely seeing how enthusiastic everyone has been over the last 8 weeks at these sessions, the kids have worked so hard practicing their hockey fundamentals and are improving each week - we couldn’t be more proud 💙

🚨 Session Updates 🚨

With our current location closed for exams until 27th June, we’ll be taking our sessions outdoors until they reopen! (We will still be at Greensward, just on the hard courts)

These sessions will focus on developing key off-rink skills such as stick handling, positioning, and overall game play. These are all essential fundamentals of hockey that help players improve their performance on the rink.

Don’t worry, we’ll still be making sessions fun, engaging, and challenging for all players! 💪

👉 Important: All players will need to wear trainers for outdoor sessions.

A new roller hockey club has arrived in Essex, and it’s already transforming the way local young people get active 🛼

Since opening in February, The Mighty Pucks Roller Hockey Club has grown rapidly, offering weekly sessions to children aged 5–16, from complete beginners to more experienced young players. With structured warm-ups, skating fundamentals, stick skills and small sided games, sessions are designed to be fun, energetic and inclusive. And thanks to their partnership with The Locker Room Project, the club is helping remove financial barriers by loaning free hockey kits where needed.

We were incredibly lucky to have Sam from 🇬🇧 TEAM GB’s 🇬🇧 Men’s Roller Hockey Team join us on the rink last week to work with our players 🏒

It was an amazing opportunity for everyone to see first-hand the level of skill, dedication and hard work it takes to compete at the top level of the sport 🤩

Sam spent time sharing tips, running drills and chatting with the players, and it was fantastic to see how engaged and excited everyone was throughout the session. Experiences like this are so valuable for our group and really help inspire the next generation of roller hockey players.

A huge thank you to Sam for giving up his time to come down and support the club, it meant a lot to our players and coaches!

Safe to say there were plenty of big smiles at the end of the session 😄🙌

We’re excited to announce that Team GB’s Roller Hockey Player - Sam Hadden - will be joining us at training this weekend! 🇬🇧🏒

This is an incredible opportunity for our players to learn from someone competing at the very highest level of the game. Bringing top tips, elite skills, and loads of inspiration for everyone in the session 🔥

Giving our players experiences they’ll remember and motivation to keep working hard is what it’s all about 💪🏼

Make sure you’re laced up and ready to roll! 🛼 You won’t want to miss this! 🙌🏼
