Three total beginners, me and my two kids. We came off the water paddling a double and reading the drift after a successful afternoon of
Kayaking. All gear included!
Andy taught us properly. Safety first, then the basics, then how wind and drift actually work in that bay.
Great communication before, during and after the winds picked up in original location so flexibility was paramount and we adjusted location and start time. A younger paddler needed a tow more than once and got one without any fuss made about it. Games in between to build confidence, and a steady stream of local knowledge about the coastline we were sitting on.
Neither of my kids wanted to get out. Tired, thrilled, asking when we can come back.
